I don't think they should allow that. Blizzard wants to make WCS an offline event, and allowing Violet to play online would set a precedent.

Why not just let him play online with a live video feed? It's not like there's going to be a disappointed audience because there isn't one in the studio. I can't help but think this is partly MLG's fault. Surely they would have anticipated visa issues with all the players travelling overseas? And what the hell is the point of having the players playing in the studio if there isn't an audience anyways? Just like the qualifiers, they're forcing players to leave and wasting another WCS slot that could've gone to another qualified player, instead of accommodating for players in foreseeable tough situations.

This isn't just a US issue. Anyone that's ever had to attain a residence permit or a work visa in a foreign country has probably gone through a long and tiresome process. I'm curious when they actually began the process for Violet.

unfortunate but this is something that should have been worked out awhile ago since violet has been in the states for several months. Don't hate on the US for trying to keep track of who lives here in case you haven't noticed we have millions of illegals that live in this country

im not surprised. There's a bunch of people here who take shots at america pretty much every chance they get, whether its shitting on NASL, MLG, the talent level, WCS America. Pretty much anything that happens in the states gets extra criticism from the community. I don't even think if NA players were winning major tournaments it would be any different. Oh well. Whatever.

I believe the reason for those questions is that if you ever turn out to be "a terrorist" or "associated with the Hitler goverment" they can add one more offense to your case. At least that is what I believe.

Yep, its one more charge and its 100% provable. Its like a fail safety in case the prosecutor bungles all the other charges and the jury finds you not guilty but here you are, entering the country illegally.

IMO it should be punished by elimination from the tournament, its absolutely unnaccepted behavior as a pro to not take care of your needs to participate from a tournament so important, stealing someones spot ( violet as invited ). thats my opinion
