Maybe Idra was called up on a private conversation about his recent behaviour (losing patience in WCS, insulting everyone on ladder, actually wishing Capoch cancer) in hope he'd admit his mistakes and let the management know he'd try to fix it, but instead telling them to fuck off. I'd be actually willing to bet on such scenario. and then I see this. Recent behavior? Guys, this shit goes back to the first time we witnessed the guy. He hasn't changed a whole lot over the years.

Instead should of tried to help him get in a better mental state while still being edgy You don't have a clue what you're talking about. XD

O_O It wasn't your job to "fix" IdrA, temperament is something that can only be fixed by the person if they're willing to change. Nevertheless, I wish nothing but the best for Greg as well as the entire EG family.

Strange that Suppy's gone further than any other American in multiple MLGs now. Further than IdrA I might add.

I can only imagine what must have gone through EG.Alex's head when he read this. "ACTUALLY, you don't get paid to treat people like fucks. You get paid TO WIN, JERKASS."

It is honestly the correct response from a business position, but it sucks in all ways. I hope this serves as a lesson to him to get over himself and actually try a little bit in his games and that he, in fact, was wrong and can't treat his fans like crap. Then I hope he succeeds in Starcraft again.

Intelligence and impulse control are two different things. Incontrol is trying to balance professionalism, his team's needs, and his friend's needs as idra goes through a rough patch. I don't see how anything incontrol said could be construed as incorrect or out-of-line, and I DAMN sure dont understand how Greg's behavior is his fault.

If he was any good it might justify keeping him but its been years since he could even beat anyone. Now i can be neutral towards EG. "Any good" being the best american player for several years. I never understood the SC2 community's mindset on player skill.

Nobody is the ideal human being and most of the stuff you see in public of famous athlets is only because the public wants them to be that way, not the person itself wants to behave that way. That is oppression for me. Someone using force on another person to behave in a different way because otherwise he/she has to face consequences, and losing a job is a big consequence and not just a slap on the wrist. But people outside have an easy time to see heads roll because they are not in that situation. I dislike a lot of players in the sc2 community for whatever reason, but the last thing i d do is msg their sponsors and get them kicked out of a team. Unlike you i dont want everybody to be a faceless PCcreature that wirtes "gg" everytime and follows the society becaue they have to instead of being themselves. 1) i never say gg, lies and slander 2) there's a distinct irony in you saying there is no ideal human/society under the ID sokrates 3) part of the implicit social contract of being a celebrity is that you don't be a douche, or if you do, you produce results. I guess idra probably could have continued on if he won WCS AM, otherwise this was written in the stars. 4) your "argument" from what people apparently want to behave like rests on an incredibly flimsy assumption to the point where it ceases to be an argument and is just an opinion. you also made this same argument last year that is still suffering from the same pathetic fallacy, i.e. what about his feelings maaaaaaaaaaaan?!. I don't give a shit about his feelings or his intent, like just about any adult I care about his results and what he shows, and what he continues to show is that he doesn't belong in a growing scene skill-wise or attitude-wise. sorry fans, I feel worse for you than I do for idra, who is a perfectly capable individual who isn't going to be on the street because of this.

O_O really lame no one at EG prepped you before going on air and having to deal with that emotionally and on the spot. -- everything idra has said and done in the past has been virtually innocuous. It seems to me that EG is trying to drop the "E" in the ways they think make sense. And it makes sense if idra was getting a big paycheck. But all the non-ggs and flip-offs and even being upset with DeMuslim...it's all fair game. He's his own dude and an adult. The negative shit he pulls provided more entertainment than it did detriment, and likely grew the scene more than a lot of hard work and light-footing done by other people. He said as much in the post that got him a temp ban. Can only hope he finds a better home.

Idra thinks he's "rich" because of the views he gets.... but the fact is he is "rich" because Alex sold big sponsorships and pays huge salaries. If other teams sold as many as AG does, there would be other "rich" players on other teams. There aren't. Idra will find that having 8000 viewers is not as great as a 6k salary. Twitch don't pay like EG. EG players are in wonderland compared to the brutal outside EG world.
