Letting someone go because they "hurt your feelings" is ridiculous. This sets the perception of the scene back. Telling people to grow up and then using the term "titties in a knot" is really, really ironic. Professionalism is severely important in the professional world. Do you walk up to complete strangers and just start ridiculing them? Do you insult your friends in mean, hateful and hurtful ways (not in jest, either)? Of course not. Am I supposed to let my staff make inappropriate comments to or even ABOUT members in public? Professionalism is the reason society exists. BM and posts like yours are more demonstrative that this sport is still filled with children. Do you think Boxer's handshake with every oppnnent, or Idra's childish insulting fans and temper tantrums, is going to do more to overturn the general opinion of "angry nerds in their basement?" Defending a jerk does not validate being a jerk yourself

Think about it. Would EG be stereotyped as this 'BM, bad-boy, money-grubbing corporation' if IdrA wasn't on the team? Probably not. It's time for EG and IdrA to evolve away from each other.

Wrong it's the fact that SC2 /e-sports has a younger audience than other sports that would allow Idra to continue this behavior for so long. It's the immature audience that supports immature behaviors In any other professional sport, there is no way they pros have this much freedom. They have dresscodes, they can't talk bad about referees, remain humble, or else be fined. Only exception I can think of is Mayweather, but he is his own marketing team, so he can do whatever marketing he thinks will get him more views. Besides he is considered the greatest

lol wtf? EG is like the team that polices their team the least. Do you even know what you're saying? There are consequences for even real like professional athletes if they fuck up./QUOTE] EG could be the team that polices the most, the least, in the middle, slightly less than.... the degree isn't the point, the fact that they see themselves in a parental role over their players is. Professional Athletes are a good parallel. Take a look at the "list of sins" that professional athletes compile every year. Yet they are still playing. If EG came on here and said they were concerned about a loss of sponsorship than that would at least be understandable, instead they state that they are worried about offending the fans? Yeah... Sure... Professional athletes never offend fans... Do you know wtf you are talking about my friend? ![]()

Anyways im upset someone in the internet can get fired for making such dumb comment. I hope Greg himself in sc2 again and for Evil Genius to grow a backbone and defend their players. I thought we learned something from the Orb fiasco, such a sad story

It certainly doesn't help e-sports to build a professional image worth of sponsorship money when famous so-called "professionals" behave like Idra.

They'd be labeled bad boys if Idra and Stephano were winning as often as they used to or gave Koreans a run for their money like they used to.

You realize the adult world is the one that is setting down the punishment right and the kid one is the one where this would be fine?
