If they're smart they'll treat it like a redemption. As Idra changing and maturing. Whether he actually does though, is up to fate. I hope Idra uses this as an opportunity.

I just had to get away from reddit cause it's stupid that mods allow a fuck Idra circle jerk that could have possibly lead to managments decision to let him go. My feeling is he has done this since forever and the one time theres serious community backlash he gets released. If you don't see the connection then I guess I'm crazy but I think there's a pretty strong one. I respect EG's decision to protect their brand but I feel some people don't realize the shit they say has major ramifications. People reached their breaking point. They got tired of his shit. Whether or not reddit had anything to do with this, it was the right decision by EG.

If people are going to get their titties in a knot because of some "BM" then it only proves this sport is still populated by children. Letting someone go because they aren't perform is a good thing. Letting someone go because they "hurt your feelings" is ridiculous. This sets the perception of the scene back.

Literally just a few hours ago I was rewatching some old broodwar videos and was thinking of Artosis and IdrA. I'd be willing to bet someone within EG did that.

It is dirty ... and I don't like it at all and I am not even a fan of IdrA. But when someone is treated like this in public, it does not matter if I like the person or not. This is simply not correct. EG could have made a generic statement on disagreement (or performance), but they went out of their way to burn Greg. Shameful.

IdrA changing and maturing removes all of that attention unless he leaps forward in results.

I think the real issue is that he is no longer considered a top foreigner and people are probably tired of covering up his shit while putting up no results. While Idra certainly isn't a top foreigner anymore he still makes a lot more money for himself (and evil geniuses) than a lot of players because he is popular. Releasing Idra is probably not the right decision for EG in terms of money, so I think their statement makes sense. Who cares if he is an arrogant unappreciative fuck - that's why I like him. EG, and other pro teams in general policing their members like they are nursery-school children has to stop for anyone to take this all seriously. I'm so disappointed. lol wtf? EG is like the team that polices their team the least. Do you even know what you're saying? There are consequences for even real like professional athletes if they fuck up. Good for EG. IdrA will only be missed by the fans of IdrA which, probably isn't much anymore. I can't even comprehend why anyone is a fan of his. Crappy at SC2 and has a stupid 'personaility'. The quotes is because I don't even think its a personality. IdrA stated many times he knows that 'bad' boy personality is what makes him popular. I'm sure he has gone out of his way to fake that personality to extremes
