IdrA just insulted the whole Starcraft community: and suggested that he gets paid by EG to insult the community. That's unconscionable for EG. Just wondering, but where was this posted?

Yes, he has failed miserably lately, and yes, he has taken it out on his opponents in a ugly way (I've seen it on stream). But ... burning a person publicly in this way is not just as ugly, it is in fact evil. I highly doubt they fired him solely because of what he's done/said to opponents and people in the community. There were most likely internal issues too with him being so immature. I am actually surprised EG put up with his bullshit this long. That is a true miracle.

Honestly, he needs a reality check. I know he can be a good person but 90 percent of the time he acts like a complete child and dick. I dont know where his career will go from here but im sure that another team will pick him up because he IS a good player. Anyways, GL to you IdrA.

Hopefully he takes some time to consider what his next move should be. you mean "hopefully he takes some times to consider that he has spent the last few years acting like a dick" ? and then upon realizing that he is not 12 anymore, maybe grow up, show some respect and behave like a professional player... i can finally root for EG -,-

I wish Idra the best. I'd like to see him take a step back for a few months and either come back as a real contender or possibly a caster. Unfortunately, I don't see the latter being possible because it may be hard to suck up his pride to do so.

Like seriously the whole "fuck Idra" circlejerk in Reddit I feel caused this to happen but seriously should they have that power? I would like to know how much that influenced the decision to realease him. did you even read the OP??!

Greg doesn't need sympathy or pity, he's made a lot of money, he'll continue to make a lot of money, and I doubt he cares about anyone's feelings about this because he seemingly lacks basic empathy. He's made a lot of money in eSports terms, no doubt, but saying that he's made a "very wealthy living" off BW and SC2 is going a bit far ...

I dunno, the basic logic of "if he really didn't care then why would he rage / see a psychiatrist" seems pretty compelling to me. And it seems much more likely to me that he's just in a shitty place wrt being stuck in a gimmick as opposed to being a complete psychopath.

I dont follow the team or idra a lot i just watched wcs yesterday and witnessed how everybody was just like wtf at idras ragequitting. Yeah he made a stupid post somewhere on the forum.. but i didnt even notice that. I thought u could do the same thing they did with stephano. you know, no payment for a few months. before you actually fire him. But i guess there mustve been tension for a while now between eg and idra.

Greg has been a wealthy salary relative to other Starcraft II players, relative to other gamers, even relative to the average American worker. Greg's salary is very high.
