For all we know, he could be analyzing gameplay 24/7. Unfortunately, he hasn't gotten better in those three years. Because there's every indication that he DOESN'T do it. He's very slow to learn from his mistakes, continually blames his losses on his opponents playing badly. And he never analyzes replays on stream.

Dislike Idra and his attitude. He's seems to assume he's entitled to respect without really ever showing anyone any. When he loses, he rages imbalance and cheese which is completely an utterly immature, and he really should know better, he's not a kid anymore. I don't buy into this 'he's a personality' stuff, either. He's not a good personality, and he's a bad role model.
Even in that interview with JP, which was a chance to pull a lot of people back on-side he still managed to make himself look a bit of an ass.
I'm glad he won't be playing anymore, and I hope we don't see him appear casting tourneys very much at all.

Sorry, I didn't express myself properly. I would like to know which ones put 'pressure' on EG to handle IdrA's actions.

I wouldn't take that point of view at all and I would keep supporting those sponsors. Remember that Idra is friends with almost every member of EG and DJWheat, all who are supported by those sponsors. He wouldn't want to see people stop supporting his friends just because he got let go from the team. They also did him a favor. He seems way more excited about what he is going to be doing than staying on EG.
I won't stop supporting EG, as I said I want to support the 'right sponsors' - in my point of view of course. In this case, the ones that just didn't care about the things IdrA said.

He did? With what, I wonder.
He's respectful, and articulate. He even refuses to bash on a team that cut him and says he understands their reasoning and that he would have done it himself. People just want to hate. If he's an asshole, people hate him. If he isn't, people still hate him.

I'm only a couple of minutes in to the real talk ep, but if you listen to what he's saying he seems genuine and pretty reasonable and definitely not an ass (not yet anyway). So yeh I p much agree with you.
But IdrA's voice / speaking style (ignoring the meaning of his words) kinda comes across as more arrogant / assy than he actually is and I think that's what sorts of distorts people's view of him.

I kind of avoided this whole subject for the longest time, because I knew the entire thing would be a soul-destroying shit storm.
Watched Real-Talk, though, and...I honestly can't believe it was that post that created all of this drama. I remember reading that post when Idra first made it. Everyone had a ridiculous laugh about it, there were several people quoting him and saying how hilarious it was.
Just goes to show how pathetic the witch hunts can get...

the real talk with JP was really good. idra was able to clarify a lot of stuff and give some more perspective to the whole situation. i was very impressed and a lot of my respect for idra has been renewed. cant wait to see what he has in store for all of us in the future

IdrA could do much more for eSports in a content production capacity than he ever did as a player. Looking forward to seeing what he puts out there.

I'm still kinda confused about the apology. One one hand, he says that his post was directed to the people that just love to watch him rage and bm, and those are not the real fans. On the other hand, he says his position isn't to play well (necessarily); it's to be an entertainer. And the way he seemed to entertain was via rage/bm. I don't understand...

He did? With what, I wonder. A few things hidden amongst it. He tried to defend, or at least to some extent justify his Capoch comment by saying 'he's cheesy and I get mad'... as if that in any way would justify a cancer comment. I know he also said his comment was wrong, but he just needed to leave it at that. There was no need to try and explain and justify, just say 'yeah, I was wrong'. He also tried to insinuate his 'rivalry' with demuslim was a 2 way thing, when it's Idra constantly calling demuslim childish names. There were a few other thigns I picked up on when I watched it. Then he sais the 'fucks' he was aiming his comment at are people who love to watch him rage and BM... well guess what, don't rage and BM and these people have no ammunition!? He just behaves like a petulant child way too often. He needs to grow up, his behavious, attitude and outlook have no excuses anymore.

the conclusion then being that no wonder he's so goddamn miserable playing this game competitively when his overall skill level degrades to the point where more people than ever are watching him just for his rage antics. it's not that he wanted to be an entertainer, but that's kind of what he is now in 2013 regardless, so may as well run with it given recent events. I can respect rolling with the punches in that way.

In the end we going to live like the movie Demolition Man if people keep making drama about every little thing.

No need to be confused, he wants to have his cake and eat it aka a foot in two boats. He still isn't grasping that the BM was entertaining because he was a winning and placing regularly.
Society expects alpha males to BM/cocky/rude, not its has beens or wash-outs.

Man, all these Demolition Man comments. I feel like some of you guys might actually be as old as me. I'm still supporting IdrA. F all this drama.

Just imagine how many fines Idra would get

What is it specifically about him you like/support? Genuine question.
