While you guys pansy over what a player said or who his friends are, I'm going to be analyzing his gameplay. True sports and e-sports fans wouldn't care about drama. They'd just care about good games. If people stopped caring about drama, then stupid shit like this wouldn't have to happen. This community has truly gone to shit. Well, that was part of IdrA's problem with his own image, right? At some point over the past year, his gameplay declined. There was a point early in SC2 that an IdrA fan could say, "Sure IdrA rages or is BM sometimes, but he's one of the top 3 foreigners in the world." The last year has been pretty tough for him, because he was becoming more popular for having a bad attitude (like Destiny) than actually being great at the game. Anyway, I'm glad he's going to move on from playing competitively and more to content-creation, which he genuinely sounds excited about. Its a good call for him and he does sound more excited about it. He does like his fans a lot and I think he is looking forward to focusing on them, rather than beating NA players on the ladder. Personally, I think he would make a ton of money with a subscription, playing games with fans and reviewing replays. Yes. He could be the version of Day9 that swears more and doesn't mug at the camera constantly. The more I think about it, the more I realize there really is a hole in the market for some solid, non-nonsense, comprehensive analysis. Like Mr. Bitter's original series where he was being coached by pro's. God I miss those days. How to defend a 2 rax as zerg. Close positions Metalopolis.
Yeah. God, Zerg versus anything used to be a nightmare. Thank god Mr. Bitter was there to get us through that shit.

You stated something based upon your own opinion, "gaming not esport", "unimportant", something about fans annoying than him etc. I would label you as hater. If you said something that is more fact based like his tournament results were getting worse etc, then you aren't being as biased and close minded as you did

No. Like i said in my first post, i dont want to express my negative opinion about idra. I want to express my negative opinion about people who call them self his fans. people like you.
And yes. I posted that for the positive sake of doing so.
A negative comment is not negativ if you are against something that is negative. You see it depends on the position.
I just wanted to make a positive statement for gaming, aware of that most people here have a negative view on it and more like /drama/e-sports site of it.
You and me are part of this community but look on it from a total different site.
Im here for sc2 and gaming, NOT for e-sport / viewers / rivals / story-line / drama. Idra is a person who symbol the 2. part. Thats one reason many people dont like him. Its not all about him personal its about what he symbols.
Its two different directions in the same scene. I must admit tho, that your direction is more powerful right now on TL.

The word basicly say that i am not a part of their movement/ idea / mindset. It also shows that this group hates (thats why the use the word because for them , different opinion = hate) everyone with a different opinion.
So all information you get about the person thats labeld a "hater" is : he have an diffrent opionen. The information you get about the one who say "hater" is: He blindly connect hate with different opinion, assuming this is a normal comparison.

Builds and micro was out there long time before e-sport... I think what you want to say is: With the money and people concentrate on it full time, you see better mirco and better builds. So gaming improves by e-sport. Thats correct to a certain degree. The question is : Is the "known best" not good enough. When our micro and builds would be a bit worse but are the best we know. Would it be less fun to watch? Besite that, you mention one of the 2 ONLY positive aspects of e-sport to gaming. The 2. one is the amount of different streams you can watch where people gameing.
Perhaps its not about e-sport in general its about the view on it. What is the top topic in the sc2 scene? a new build or a way to micro or the drama about an player get fired?

IdrA would be by far the best player that ever commentated though. It would be hilarious to hear him talk about players that he hits on ladder on a regular basis.

DJWheat: So what do you think morrow's plan is right now, how is he going to respond to these double upgrades.
Idra: Oh, he is just going to go and kill him in two minutes, that is a super risky, greed build for terran.
Two minutes later, GG.

I wouldn't take that point of view at all and I would keep supporting those sponsors. Remember that Idra is friends with almost every member of EG and DJWheat, all who are supported by those sponsors. He wouldn't want to see people stop supporting his friends just because he got let go from the team.
They also did him a favor. He seems way more excited about what he is going to be doing than staying on EG.

It's why IdrA gets so much love as a caster. Unlike other commentators *cough HD/Painuser cough* he usually makes great reads.
People make fun of IdrA for gg'ing too early (and as a player getting paid to compete, it's deserved), but it's actually astonishing how accurate he is at predicting the outcome of situations 2 to 3 minutes in advance.
