So I guess this release asks the question is it about time? And if it's been overdue for this long, why even release him? It seems like an invisible line in the sand has been crossed, and I certainly don't blame Idra for crossing it. His fans wanted him to cross it. The reality that his personality was more important than his play was pretty much factual, so it doesn't make too much sense that Alex chose this infraction to let him go. Going forward, this release will make a lot more sense should this been the moment in time where we as fans begin to appreciate good players and good play in general over slightly less good play with a bit of personality. To be honest, I'm not sure that's the direction this sport is headed. It think it's a mix, and it will always be a mix, and I think Idra was an integral part of that mix, albeit on one polar end of the scale. Right now Incontrol is saying on SOTG that Greg will be a hot commodity that will be the central pickup of any team in the future. I'm not 100% sure that's true. I'm pretty certain that there's no other player that is intrinsically tied to a team than Idra is with Evil Geniuses. The release from EG is a downvote from one of the most important E-Sports organizations in NA. I'm not sure that this release doesn't take Idra's stock and lower it significantly. So in the coming weeks and months, this is the one bit of Starcraft 2 news that I will be following, because I think it's a watershed moment in esports. Or at least it could be. But I don't think it will be, and that might make idra some sort of a martyr. Were you not entertained?

He loses to his teammates and rages at them. His man-child antics towards Demuslim are hilariously pathetic. The kid is of low moral character.
