I feel very sorry for Idra. I always enjoyed watching him play. Even more when he went to Korea to play for eStro as one of the few "white-guys" who could actually make it.

I dont know, but I guess the skill he obviously has, isnt the skill you need in SC2. He had very good mechanics and that seperated him from many foreigners in BW.
SC2 might be just to frustrating for him because he cannot stand people beating him whom he thinks are worse at the game. But the game isnt BW anymore, its SC2 now!

As for the decision from EG's side: I fully respect the release. After watching the games vs Polt yesterday, I thought "well, thats it for Idra. The people still supporting him will now ignore him as well"

I wish him all the best and maybe, maybe he might change his mindset and be a great player again.

no sympathy sry. He was a great broodwar player I had a lot of respect for him during his broodwar career. Today he is just absurdly overrated. His character was definitely a huge role model for many pple on ladder.. sad. He did/said so many unprofessional things- In my eyes 90% of the attention he got was because people seem to like drama . I am happy that EG finally reacted to it actually makes me like EG a lot more now.

I agree with this pretty well. It pretty surprising, but it's not entirely all bad. I'm not sure if it makes sense monetarily, but if he takes some time out he could come back hard with a vengeance and be a beast.
