Nah. If you listen to Incontrol's explanation EG didn't have much of a choice. IdrA put Alex in a situation where he essentially had to chose between IdrA or the sponsors that support the entire team.

nice pr idra and eg! 13k viewers. last couple of times i checked he had like 4k'ish ^^

Not surprised with the amount of viewers he receives now. Lots of people coming just to see him now because of what happened either to support him, find reason to troll him, or see whether his attitude changed or whether he is faking it.
Although I'd expect viewers to drop to his normal average of 5k in about a week, he now has another chance to present himself in a different, better light to viewers, and especially potential future team/sponsors.
He deserved what happened but now lets see what he makes of it. There is always chance of redemption.

Paying for his rent for a YEAR? Sounds like he got off pretty easy.

For the remainder of the year, iirc.

At some point I think it's a good riddance for EG.
He showed good results, as HuK did at the beginning of WoL but I did not see him (or them) do much for a few seasons now, not to mention since HoTS.
Also I always hated how BM was Idra, even though I liked his playstyle.
Good move from EG, even if it was necessary. Good Luck to Idra, hopefully he will have a look at the anger managment thread and improve his behaviour.

It's probably partially coming outta investors pockets, no doubt they didn't plan on this happening. He may have gotten easy in a way, but only because EG knows how much he's already gone through to be as good as he is. Lastly, he kind of was the first EG attraction, at least in the beginning of WOL so EG owes a lot of initial SC2 success to him imo.

No they have two sukky pilots who cannot extract the 100% from the car and they lost their edge without a 1st tier driver. EG will lose some of their media attention hence sponsors will not get 100% from the brand....
Whatever it is not important...
Idra and Destiny should unite and create TEAM RAGE. I would donate $100 to see that happen :D :D :D
On a serious note, I still think the Idra in the 1st game against polt is the best USA zerg. He is also most marketable hence one of the most valuable players. I really want to see him do well.

i think he´s right about this community

He seems happier, and I can see his play improving already.
Best thing that ever happened to him.

As much as it might hurt or offend people I think Idra is right as well. I watched the community devolve into a mass of balance whiners too many times - literally ruining LR threads that could have been fun. I've also watched the community stalk, dehumanize, and devalue (spamming, booing, DDOS attacks, hatemail, hateposts, spam to sponsors, etc...) the pro-gamers that make this whole "esports" thing possible over the smallest stuff: probe rush into nerds typing walls of text describing what a horrible being someone is.
I guess I'm more laid back when it comes to some but I have to wonder about the happiness and personal lives of people who get that worked up over a video game they are watching someone else play - or getting worked up over the actions of a professional gamer who they have never met whose actions basically don't impact them at all. Yes, I understand you believe you are the one true defender of esports and that the only way for it to advance is if "pro gamer X" dies in a literal fire.... lol.
I don't even understand why people would be offended at all by Idra's post on TL that has been quoted so many times (the "you are a bunch of f***ers" one) - I though it was funny. It's almost ironic that the point he was making (at least imo) lead the exact same people he was calling out to go on a witch hunt. Thing is too, I'm a pretty sensitive person in real life but I just can't get worked up by that no matter how hard I try.

He did seem really happy on his stream today... (I mean really happy to Idra standards) also 13,000 views doesn't hurt.

This was the final straw pretty much. http://i.imgur.com/FgezXgU.jpg What have I done! Don't blame yourself. Actually, I think this event is pretty good. We need things to shake up ESPORTS. This won't shake anything, it's just a lil' tremor in a scene that will go back to being emotionless group for hugs.
Are you refering to the whole sc2 community? Because if you are i kinda agree aith that and think you hit a nail with the way you expressed it.

Well, yes, he IS right. Most peoples are entertained by dramas, rages and laughter way more than by competitive results, in anything, ever. That's not the "Starcraft Community", it's the humanity in general.
