The only reason he has attention is because it's this weeks big drama. In another week or maybe two he will probably be back down to the levels he was at a while ago. Some more people will probably tune in to watch his WCS games against Puck as well, but in a short while things will be back to where they were.
EG haven't lost because Idra got a big bump in viewers due to being dropped. You could also say EG have gained a lot more attention and exposure for dropping Idra, and people like Incontrol on SOTG have given EG even more exposure, such as the massive increase in SOTG viewers due to it being on when the Idra announcement was made. EG exposure++ because of Incontrol.

Pls name me 30 american player who are better than idra. You might be right with your first two statements but the third is just ridiculous.

Best player in America is now a free agent. Scarlett is teamless? No. But she is Canadian.
Last I checked Canada was a part of america.

Best player in America is now a free agent. He wasn't the best player on EG before he was released, and there are definitely better US players.

He wasn't the best player who's currently residing in NA who is on EG. Obviously the guys in Korea are better than him, but also Suppy and Demuslim are better.

Are you serious? What exactly is left to say in this thread that is of any value? What is left to derail? It has run its course, and more. Yes, Idra is off EG and we can sit here and repeat our speculations as to why ad naseum. Have fun I guess.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
what you are currently witnessing is the biggest and most devious plan to be ever seen in all of esports. Over the course of his career Idra has purposely built up the image of the hardworking but underachieving badboy who does not know any limits in his hatred induced madness.
This my dear readers, is the foundation for what you are going to see from now on, the true Idra has been the best player in the world for a long time and never flamed someone wholeheartedly. It was all part of this perfidious scheme which will unfold in the following months.
Idra will, out of sheer power of willslowly overcome all odds and win the GSL after going to korea on his own money, living in a cheap 1-room apartment only feeding upon ramen and his everburning desire to win. During this progress he will prevail over his inner rage and becomes a truely balanced entity. The redeemed Idra now gets an offer from EG to come back, but beeing the divine being he achieved to become over the course of the last months he declines, he cannot absolve himself from the sins he perpetrated.
On the peak of his existence he will leave our civilization becoming a hermit and living in austerity on the outskirts of our planet for the rest of his live.
He sacrifices himself for a higher order, for the sake of esports and humanity.

The funny thing about this is that there are probably a thousand Idrites who actually think this is what is happening. No wonder Idra thinks people on the internet are idiots.

He's clearly not one of the most valuable people (I won't even call him a player, you can't mean he's a valuable player), or EG lost all their senses to release such a valuable asset. If they released them, it's because he's not valuable anymore. He could become valuable once again, but all this self destruction and all the shit he did transformed him into a negative value person. He's toxic. He's a subprime xD No sports value, no commercial value, no sponsor wants to be associated with him. Everyone says he'll find a team no problem, my personal theory is that he won't, unless he'll become someone else (which is possible, perhaps being fired from EG will wake him up and realize how dumb he acted...hmm, self criticism, not very Idra like). A team could hire him to make a "coup", a publicity stunt, but hire him as a player ? For what, seeing him rage quit winnable games ? Who wants to hire such a player. I hope he'll be fine, but imo it won't be as a player. As a caster certainly.

Best player in America is now a free agent. Scarlett is teamless? No. But she is Canadian. Since when is America = USA?
I don't know. At least the last century I'd wager. From Canada = Canadian. From Mexico = Mexican. From USA = American.
Although I agree with you that this distinction is arbitrary given how 'America' should apply to both North or South America, it doesn't perform that way in everyday speech.
Anyways, on topic. As an Idra fan I fully support EG's decision. It's obvious from today that Idra isn't planning on leaving SC2. I really hope that this gets Idra on the right track again. He's one of the few foreigners capable of going toe to toe with the best players out of Korea, and even if he hasn't been playing to that image as of late, hopefully he'll find a return to form.
