No results at all in a long time, always bad attitude - i have been thinking for a loooong time "Who the hell want's to pay a guy like that?". This is business, if you can't deliver, you don't belong.
Next stop Incontrol.... Out with him, get some real talent. Or pay him only for the commentating, which i will give him a thumps up for!
And yes, i will properly be hated for this, but hey, it is what it is.
come on, hating on incontrol is so old now... incontrol is doing an amazing job for EG also: + Show Spoiler + Oh wow, did not realize that my TL virginity was just taken. Thumps up to you! I don't hate on Incontrol, i love the guy, amazing eSport figure, with his personality, humor and all that. But as a player... That's a chapter that should be over already, please move on to something else and do it as a hoppy. One of the reasons he commentates so well is because he plays at a decent level himself. For which the team provides the opportunity. Wow, i did not know that -.- That's just logic dude. You can be a really good commentator, without being paid for playing. Look at let's say Artosis. Artosis plays a lot of ladder while commentating yes? I find both Artosis and InControl to be my favourite streams (along with Grubby). They provide commentary feedback on their play, and they are just all awesome. I really want InControl to keep playing in every regard possible. Also f.ex Tod who keeps playing, I atleast value his commentary analysis a lot more then say some random commentary guy who may just be guessing. We need people who keeps playing and commentating. Wow, i forgot how hard it can be to explain anything on forums.. I totally get what you're saying, because im also like that, i hate commentators, who doesn't know their starcraft (Two years of Code S with Artosis and Tasteless really ruined me for all others lol). But for me there is a clear difference between a pro player, who trains all day long to win tournament's and people like Incontrol and Artosis. Yes they are great players, yes it's nice when you watch and they are commentating, but the fact is that they could do that at home. Yeah it's a lot easier, if you have a team house and gets paid - but isn't he like a glorified streamer then? Would you even stream, if you where serious about winning anything? People can see what you're working on all the time. --> Do the streams and do something else the rest of the time. Like Artosis, who plays in his free time, not the other way around. This is getting out of hand. I just thought is was a good idea to (finally) get rid of Idra. And maybe think about a career/titel change (Inside of EG) for people like Incontrol - Who are we kidding, he is not gonna win any big tournament anytime soon.
I dont get why he cant be a glorified streamer paid by EG. At big tournaments, he will have his shot, and I will cheer for him. If he loses, he can commentate and do his thing which we also love. Win win for everyone, even for him, because he also gets paid to do all this, which is a great win for him. Why would you turn down such an amazing thing going on? Just because of a silly title such as "pro gamer" status?

Many golfers and tennis players go through an entire career without winning anything worth mentioning and I don't see people call out for their retirement. And in some cases you can even draw parallels to the idra's and incontrols of the world, players that for some reason, whether it's their personality, playing-style or looks that give them attention, they get it and are in so many ways payed for never winning. Get over it.

Promised myself that the last post, really would be the last, because this is an endless discussion, with a lot of possible and different outcomes. I get that what he is doing at the moment is a great thing, win or loss, championship or not, but at some point you have to think about other possibilities. I think that is talent and love for the game, could be used in a more productive way, that's all. If EG thinks things are fine as they are now, that's great, but why not get a head start? Yes he can play till he is 30, maybe more (White-Ra pops into my head), but like i also said earlier, i believe that he could be used better (that sounded weird hmm). Go ahead, make the transition, evolve into something even greater for the community.

Yeah i just read it and feels kinda silly right now to be honest. But okay, that's just great, all i ever asked for. Exactly what i was taking about in fact, i must just have missed that blog - honest mistake!
More people should do this, stop trying to win, when it will never happen - and if you really love the game and eSports, get some kind of education where you can do something productive for the scene. That's my 50 cents.
And again, i feel a little like an idiot right now, but atleast i "was right"... dah.
