1. Releasing Idra has improved the average IQ on EG
2. Doesn't look like it's only his attitude, he probably have mental problem as well.
3. Idra is a joke, although his rage and BM is occasionally entertaining, his sacking gave me even more pleasure. He should've been fired long ago because of his (lack of)skill and mannerism.
4. Idra hasn't produce any results for a long time and he still dares to be so cocky. As a result, he has lost his job.
5. How can such an immature person being called a Pro? Player with his "skill level" is a dime a dozen.

Pro or Professional is someone getting payed for doing something. It has nothing to do with skill.

I always liked his cocky attitude. It amused me, but the application of that attitude towards games especially games he could have won and instead just quits made me upset. Not like sad, but I just wanted more out of someone who was so cocky. Someone with that attitude should have looked at a losing situation and said fuck it I'm better than you let's keep playing instead of instantly giving up.

I never liked Idra and could hardly stand his stream but this seems a little harsh. I mean sure he was a little rude and what not to the community but really in the end I was more shocked and put off by Stephano's comment then I was by Idra's. I mean that is just the way Idra acts. I'm not defending him but what did EG really expect him to say? He has been saying stuff like this for years on his stream and all of a sudden it's a problem now.
I think EG just needs to come out and admit that the release is due to performance and not due to behaviour. If behaviour was such an issue Stephano wouldn't have been back on their team (I guess Stephano isn't consistently toxic though). They just needed some excuse to get rid of him. It is a little weird to me though that they would get rid of him. Despite his performance I imagine he brought in a lot of revenue to the team because nothing is as entertaining as a personality like that.
Also it is worth considering that he has worked hard and given up quite a bit in his life to be a pro-gamer and in that way he has more guts then I do. He had a sweet job but think about how devastating this could be for him. He has lost a lot here and this could be a really tough go of things in the near future.
Hopefully he gets back on his feet

Well normally you would have to have certain skill to make money with playing a game.
In case of idra that wasnt true for a long time but he had a reality distortion field surrounding him that made people believe that skill doesnt matter as long as his fans would watch his stream

I wondered if Jaedong teach Idra a lesson about beiing pro, but nothing happened. And now when they have Jaedong they dont need the bad boy celebrity anymore. I can understand his behavior cause starcraft is stressing, but i never understood how he could stay pro so long with his attitude.

Idra stopped being relevant in the competitive scene, this is the result. It's been mentioned multiple times from multiple sources that IdrA's results didn't factor into his release. Please stop blaming his lack of results on his release. The lack of results was not the reason, but results might have prevented the release. If he had gone through the group and made the same posts I don't think EG would have fired him.
well incontrol is quoted as saying that idra was released, rather than just punished because he was on his 'last chance'. so if you believe everything incontrol says then results were completely irrelevant.

Idra has been an ass to comunity more or less since he started getting into pro level in broodwar, and to players on ladder aswell.
Idra is one of the most intellectual zerg/player out there, and he's always been disrespectfull more or less.
Stephano on the other hand, ive never heard him BM anyone, ever. and he got banned for tournaments for drinking to much and making a fuzz i believe? its a minor thing,and his first mistake or what to call it, so banning him from EG forever would be stupid.
and i just wanna add. I like EG because of a few reasons, its a nice team, all of my favorite players are there,or was.
but thats what is.. a team filled with famous people..as soon as anyone get famous they go to EG.
also idra will continue with starcraft, theres a interview with him tomorrow on JP's stream.

Well, they are unfriendly and harsh, but pretty spot on. With slightly adjusted, less dramatic wording this is 100% true I think.
Edit: The IQ comment is rubbish though.

He only talks like that with his friends and even then it's nowhere near Idra level of hate for everyone.
Imo Idra is a person full of hatred and he always shows it. A rly special case in E-sports. Destiny did some serious shit but was never as bm and diserespectul as Idra has been.

1. Already pointed out. Idra is actually a very intelligent guy.
2. his attitude is his mental problem. He knows it fairly well, and thats why he was using a psychiatrist.
3. EG stated that they're NOT firing him for being a bad guy, but because the way he treated the community. How you perceive him is not relevant.
4. This one is true, but that is NOT why he lost his job. Read the statement on first page.
5. Yeah. Totally. No other pro players in any sport have ever been known for flaming or being bad guys..
