Lol @ Idra fan's projecting their angst and emotional instability on Demuslim, one of the nicest guys in the entire community.

No doubt jealously is playing some part in this, as Demuslim regularly gets more than double the stream-views that's Idra has been, well before and after Idra went "emo" and started to quit all games versus all players he could not beat on the ladder.

Really enjoyable waking up to see this thread still going strong with the crazies. Lol!

well demuslim started streamsniping him and playing on his mind. idra just wanted demu to fuck off.

Dem sniped him once, that's all. He stopped when he saw Idra didn't like it

He does not need to play a game that he hates any more. He does not need to interact with a shitty community like we are in his eyes any more. He does not need to drink this unhealthy monster stuff any more.

For what more can you ask? He clearly has some problems and should not stand in public at this point any more.

Why has this not been emphasised. IdrA can go get a real job now.

Tell me more about what constitutes a "real" job.

Either something stable that isn't entrenched in trashy celebrity culture, or something that he actually loves doing?

...so, basically he can't do any job that has anything to do with the internet?

What I dont get is why athletes/celebs can behave poorly in public/towards the community yet progamers cannot. I can understand releasing him due to poor performance(i don't really follow sports so I dont know about his performance) but kicking him out due to behavior to me shows more of a weakness of the management of EG rather than idra because they could not control him. In classic sports to get kicked off a team or out of the sport for behaviour you have to do some terrible stuff - i.e Mike Tyson had to bite and ear off before they kicked him out of boxing, his rape beef even did nothing. Kobes rape beef also did not stop him, neighter did Vicks dog fighting involvement. Idra tells some people to fuck off and hes off the team. To me thats a little crazy.

p.s despite all Tyson is still my fav athlete.

I can't agree more. After Tiger woods incident he lost some sponsors but nike remained.

Dude.. tiger, Tyson, kobe, vick have all accomplished a lot in their respective sports. but, idra, in sc2 (don't know about bw) has done that well... and when you embarrass your company like that you will get fired. kudos to EG.

He kept my interest for this game alive, when interest in the game has faded out a bit generally. So I'm gutted.

Poor decision, mind-share wise. I can't help thinking there may be some economical considerations hovering in the background here. If that is the case, fuck you Alex.

Idra has many viewers...but so do Kardashians and Jersey Shore. Its not the quality, its the drama&primitivism that people seek in this kind of broadcast.

This money comes from the foreign scene. The sponsors are foreign. The team is foreign. IdrA is foreign. And I'm not saying the best of this nation, I'm saying the best apart from this nation. What he did was very, very unique.

Sometimes after people have worked together for years it just doesn't work anymore and it's time for someone to move on.

I think that's the main reason IdrA has been released.

I don't doubt the Polt games and his comment here at TL contributed, but I think this has been something that has been brewing internally at EG for a long time.

but clearly not the best in this sport as a whole. being the best of a minority league/area does not mean he can be compared to the actual people dominating the scene as tiger woods once did. i'm saying tiger woods to idra is a horrible example.

IdrA -- you can be relevent without being immature (I hope). Find your path bud. Your lack of respect for the community, other players, and yourself has become painful to see. Good luck.

You are probably right about his behavior and his professionalism - this is also the reason why I'm not a fan of him.

But the first thought in my mind after reading this news was that EG took the opportunity to get rid of Idra. This is of course pure speculation from myself but he got probably as much salary as their hole Korean Proleauge-Linup with exception of JD and Idra's level and his popularity and therefore his worth for EG slowly faded away through the last year. (just look at tournament results and stream numbers) I'm pretty sure if he would still be on top of his career EG would never released him for this stuff.
