His comment of calling the community a "bunch of fucks" finally broke the camel's back I suppose. Wow, going to be strange seeing the face of EG and one of the most iconic players out there without a team xD

From a business perspective damn right it was the right move. Until you own a business with a payroll and a staff this isn't always obvious.

People who make a $100K a year are lower middle class in America tbh. America is a country with extremely unequal levels of income. The actual upper class in America constitutes only about 0.4% of the population, and they are VASTLY wealthier than the category right below them. Those people are considered wealthy. Celebs, etc are considered rich. And plebians who make $100K or so are just doing alright. Then again, this is a forum of younger kids for the most part so to them six figures must seem like quite a lot of money. 100k a year is not Wealthy but it is well off. Also 100k a year is not lower-middle class. It is upper class through and through; Especially if it is 1 persons income. Lower class is deemed 17k (+ 6k for each additional person) per household and average wage is approximately 45k. 100k per year for someone in their career prime (mid 30's through 50's) is pretty awesome and will be very comfortable in all but the most affluent neighborhoods. A 25 year old with no degree and experience outside of handling himself in the entertainment business (which is what he says he does) making 100k is phenominal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_income_in_the_United_States For Both middle class and lower class info. The US Census page uses XLS files so that can't be linked http://www.coli.org/COLIAdjustedMHI.asp Should be sufficient for Cost of living . Note how 100k is well above the even New york city.

It seems he is disgusted with the community for raising him on a pedestal despite his poor results. It's true that when top tier Koreans stream they often get less viewers than players who are not currently competitive. Perhaps Idra was tired of being a novelty rather than a competitor. I suspect that he is as harsh on himself as he is on others, and maybe he finally had enough of getting more money and attention than players who are better than him. Here's the quote if the image is hard to see: talk to your fellow viewers then. because they dont reward results, either for players or teams. code S koreans can stream and get less than 500 viewers. the community forgets about a big tournament win as soon as the next big tournament happens. a business' purpose is to make money. winning is at best tangentially related to making money in this industry, solely because of what you and the rest of the community chooses to watch. and any company who tries to lead the charge in the direction you're asking for is gonna go out of business. we arent "abusing a competitive platform" we work in an entertainment industry and you guys are entertained by pandering, not competition.

I am one of Idra's "typical" fans, which constitutes the majority of his viewership, not those trolls in his chat-room or die-hard, obsessed fans. What makes me a typical fan is that I was never invested in Idra emotionally or personally, but I still cheered for at all of his matchups. Most of us are done with Idra. I'm sorry to break the news, but when you call all of the casual viewers - the majority of your fan base, a "bunch of fucks" you tend to lose guys like us.

Sad to see tbh. Greg will be fine whatever he decides to do though. If he stays with SC2 he can easily get personal sponsorship or any other team that isn't stupid would be glad to pick him up. If he decides to move on, he's a smart guy, he'll figure it out.

She plays for the little money in it she see's. Plus she's practically a porn actor. When she streams she has way to many ads and she makes sure you can see right down her dress. Ms Spyte is good and she has class! Plus she can draw too! Have you seen her Zerg? It's awesome! What can tarababcock do? You kidding me? TaraBabcock is a supermodel gamer, and it's clear you're just hating on her for her looks. EG should hire her as soon as possible.

It's silly to believe that anyone who's commenting here can actually speak on what goes on within EG and how much Idra is worth. If you don't think that companies, especially ones as public and community based as EG, monitor if it's worth it to keep a player vs cutting their loses, you're just, I don't even know. Whatever, maybe you're just smarter than everyone in this topic and within EG.

They lose all the attention idra brings to EG (you can argue Stephano and jaedong being eg players but they don't do talk shows like sotg and itg, cast occasionally, and promote EG sponsors like idra did). But idra made eg look bad with that TL post so doing this they clear up the bad image

Grammar is not required to start up a multi- million dollar business, that's what secretaries are for. I live in Indian wells, some folks here can't spel beter then the intrnet peepul but they stil driv a furarri son. Sure, it's embarrassing until they tell you the story of how they overcame severe dyslexia. Yeah. Shut up. I take offense because MY BOSS can't spell an he is one of the coolest people I've met. He's not the dyslexic and he drives a luxury truck but he just felt spelling was unnecessary until it was kind of too late.
