MC left for EU, so there must be a replacement somewhere. How many people qualified for code A on the quals those days?

Liquipedia brackets don't appear to be showing him either. On the GOM brackets there is someone under the ID Samsung Shark and is a Protoss. Maybe Khan managed to pick him up and he switched IDs Did he end up taking someones spot who dropped out in the end? Because it says he is placed in a spot where a code S dropout would take I was about to type this, Swim is not Shark as 'Shark' is a drop-down from Code S according to the brackets whereas 'Swim' qualified via the preliminaries. I'm looking at it. MC's spot?
Looks like it. Notice how his name is not surrounded by a red outline unlike the other Code S drop-downs.

Since many players gave up their spot in Challenger there might be incorrect "S" drop-outs. The Liquipedia Code A bracket template just works that way I think
EDIT : And anyway, the only 2 protosses in KHAN are JangBi and Stork... I think we'd have heard the news if he had changed their IDs

Edit: Nevermind I got it.

I'm pretty sure he replaced MC because MC came last in his RO32 group.

Still doesn't make sense to me. Swim qualified by winning his preliminary group means they would someone else other than Swim to replace MC
For such an unknown person this has got me interested in his whereabouts :D

god, why did swim have to change his id to Shark, especially since Shark is the ID of an respected, retired progamer...
|
- Round 1 matches, 8/24 will be shown, so 33% - Round 2 matches, 8/16 will be shown, so 50% - Round 3 matches, 12/12 will be shown, so 100%
I'm a bit sad about this, GSL Code A is really important in skill level I hope they choose right the good matches. It means less Wolf + Khaldor :/
Looking forward to it ! Code A is as stack as always !

Theyre making DRG qualify for OSL when he was the runner up in the last one......

Shame that Liquid (except for TaeJa until the end of the current season) no longer competes in GSL.

To be honest that isn't exactly bad, they're probably going to be showing the fan favourites each day and you get all matches shown for the last day, the most important one, so yeah, pretty good for one stream.

Well there IS something up with the qualifier brackets at least:
Day 2, Group A : San qualifies against a terran named Shark. Day 2, Group F : Swim, protoss (now Shark) qualifies by beating jjakji.
And Shark appears as P in the Code A brackets.
Oh god please tell me this is not like the Liquid_Hero/T8_hero/CJ_hero thing

So... should we just continue to write stuff such as "World Championship Series Korea Season 2 Ongamenet Starleague" and "World Championship Series Korea Season 3 Gomtv Global Starcraft 2 league Premier League Code S"?
|
MKP vs da man. Damn lol, THAT will be an awesome match.
ByuN has a tough bracket too, Keen in a tvt then Rain/Yongwha.
Sad panda.
