Honestly I think the private life of famous people should be kept private ... unless they do something really awful like beating their children or something similarly bad. Spoiling someone elses happiness by "interfering" or "publicising it" is kinda inappropriate IMO.

What if JD doesnt like her equally well? Is he forced into something just because he doesnt want to "diss her"? Maybe he knows that he doesn't have enough time for a relationship right now ... If they can and are happy together then all is well, but headlines usually mean something bad.

So it is better to not hype this piece of "important news" too much ...
