Well why did OGN kinda shaft KeSPA in the first place? If OGN is suddenly willing to partner up with Blizzard/GOM over KeSPA, surely it would take something really crazy to make them turn completely tail on their 10 year partner. Besides, aren't GOM and OGN competitors themselves, as broadcasting companies? Why would they ever want to work together?

OGN broadcasts half of the Proleague games in Korea currently. OGN is viewable on TV, whereas SPOTV is stream-only service. Basically without OGN, not many Koreans would watch PL.

Looks like they're on some kind of cable systems. Even if they're not as popular as OGN, they're still on TV... it looks like they're showing the NCAA basketball tournament right now, I didn't know anyone outside the US cared about that >_>


I stand corrected. Their production value is much lower than OGN, however.

Sorry, I'm just commenting as if everything the article is implying was true, which is silly. The article is speculating as well, so I apologize for getting so heated up. It's really late at night after all

Because everybody benefits. It's the same reason MBCGame and OGN cooperated to broadcast a unified Proleague over so many years.

A new league or some combo league of kespa and esf or anything like that would be fine. Anything that destroys the GSL I will protest, and anything that destroys proleague I will protest, or any exclusion of kespa I will protest. Hoping for a league thatbrings together the best of kespa and esf a few times a year.

Many E-sports concerned people seem not liking this.

Um, the OSL commentator showed how he was depressed recently on his twitter.

Gisado(GSL commentator) and the head-editor of TIG had a conversation like "People will be more surprised when the renaming comes out" when there was a such big trouble with the English client for the first day of GSTL.

Also, lots of fans in Korean are panicking because of the rumor that OSL is over.
