To be honest, EG TL has a 90% Korean line up oO

EGTL has 20 players in total, 7 are in fact from Korea, yeah that's definitely a 90% Korean line up.

Well, I don't think this will change anything for EG-TL in the near future, besides getting a surprising amount of people hyped for the team again.

If this coach can do anything at all then only after months of work. The team won't suddenly change from worst to best proleague team just because they got a new coach.

This feels a lot like European football to me: the team doesn't win -> hire a new coach
Sometimes that helps but it doesn't immediately change everything and people shouldn't expect that.

I agree but you have to admit, having an authority figure set a strict practice regimen that's up to SKT1 standards will definitely do this team some good.

I just hope he doesn't ignore developing the non-Koreans in the team.

Four (I believe) foreigners have been fielded, not 13 - the players that are on the team but do not play (and are not even in Korea) are not relevant.

He most likely meant in Proleague.

KR: JYP, Puma, JD, Revival, Zenio, Hero, Taeja,
Non KR: Stephano, Thorzain, HuK

70% of the PL roster is KR.

Think before typing! Of course they have mostly foreigners but surprisingly most of these are not in Korea atm. Only Thorzain is in Korea, I'm not sure about Stephano returning (didn't sound like that in the interviews).

I think it will give the players some new hope and motivation. Also he might stop fielding Puma, which would help a bit

The only thing stopping them is themselves. Not because they don't have proper guidance or people to look up to. You either want it or you don't.

In some indirect way that's true though. That + not knowing how to establish/maintain it.
It's definitely a mix of all those things. Sometimes people are depressed eventhough they already have a lot of good in their life. That's because they don't want to feel good enough/don't know how to balance it properly.
Humans have a tendency to contradict themselves. It's like this: YOU CANT HAVE IT ALL --> back to demotivation/depression and feeding that cycle. What people desire fluctuates on a consistent basis.

Yeah, just like when Jaedong brought his godly powers to carry the team... oh wait.

Park is signed because he's Park - he's a big name, has lots of history behind him and carries a lot of weight, and it gives foreign fans something to hope for and talk and get hyped about. Exactly like when they entered Proleague or signed Jaedong.

Nothing substantial in terms of effort, performance or results is going to change. Hell, Park himself took a step down in SKT because he wanted to spend more time with his family. I'm sure he doesn't mind cashing in on some western money on the side though.

They might have to get used to a new training regiment. I wonder how Stephano will like this.
