In some indirect way that's true though. That + not knowing how to establish/maintain it. It's definitely a mix of all those things. Sometimes people are depressed eventhough they already have a lot of good in their life. That's because they don't want to feel good enough/don't know how to balance it properly. Humans have a tendency to contradict themselves. It's like this: YOU CANT HAVE IT ALL --> back to demotivation/depression and feeding that cycle. What people desire fluctuates on a consistent basis. I'm so glad we have you, random internet poster, to disprove all these working theories based on cognitive neuroscience proven wrong because humans don't "know how to balance" themselves properly.

Look at EG-TL record in proleague, abysmal. These players you mentioned may be strong individually, but it means nothing if you can't win your match. Having a new coach doesn't suddenly make your players better and I believe this is just apart of the "commercialism" of the EG model. You know the major announcement of the "unholy alliance" and how it will wreck the face of the kespa proleague players? yeah..me either

they call themselves SKT1, which means that if the players are happy with SKT1 then forum posters shouldn't kick up a fuss about it

Considering I've suffered from depression for over a decade and been hospitalized in the past. Guess what bucko? A lot of those people in the clinic spoke about making that first step and that's why they were there. They realized they needed help and you cannot help someone who doesn't want help. I'll speak for myself when I say I was completely numb to everything and I didn't know what it felt like to be happy at all. In the same way, for a player to succeed they have to want to succeed. These guys climbed the mountain top and walked back down. The have to find that hunger to climb the next mountain and hopefully have enough air to stay there for a while. I certainly don't think they needed a coaching change either and I do think this is there way of telling their fans. "Hey guys, we're working on it." When in reality, these players stay the course with HotS and these numbers stay relatively similar (which I would expect and maybe two guys get on a hot streak) and you'd see a few more wins as a group. Ideally the situation would have corrected itself in time. People can blast the other Park all they want for the order he sends out but it really is no different from all the other flak coaches receive. It's only heightened because it's EG/TL & unfortunately they find themselves at the bottom of the round. It's very rare to see any type of lynch in PL.

Well from the samples we got at least a couple do have the skill to play individual league yet somehow fail in proleague. This looks like something more internal/mental rather then the players sucking.

I agree, while players have some responsibility in the lack of EGTL's success, I think the coaches could of been doing a much better job. Replacing the coach is a step in the right direction. They were key mistakes constantly, such as bad lineups and sending players on completely wrong maps. Plus, coaches are responsible for supervising players, they have to make sure that the players will be ready for their maps, and if they are slacking players need to be cut from the lineup. Sure there are interleague conflicts but no player aside from Taeja has been consistently busy with GSL yet it feels like the players have just been doing whatever, with no regards to the map or their opponent. Playing the matchup IS NOT how you play Proleague and it's the Coach's responsibility to make the players understand that.
