Yes it is true, that Stephano didn't do as good as some expected but there is no shame at all in losing to Innovation and Flying. hrmm not in my experience

Player morale is quite important, and seeing that reddit thread regarding EGTL not performing well, along with Stephano's comments. There needs to be change somewhere to make things better for them. I am curious to see what will happen.

EG is paying a 19 year old kid 100k a year to play starcraft..and the coach waking him up to practice is worthy of his fans sympathy? come on now. I was tempted to feel bad after the interview..but sorry he can easily give it up if hes not happy..and he should while hes young. He probably has to stay because it might be in his contract or something. Felt like he was gonna cry at the end, hope things start to look up for him!

He wants to be a doctor and is crying about being woken up early. A lot of pro gamers are very naive and don't know what real hard work is or what it's like in the real world to work.

Not perfect, but it's really not bad at all =P And yeah...no wonder I was reading all those posts about the coaching issue. So I guess this interview is where those recent posts have been originating.... Poor stephano though. I never particularly liked him, but his experience sounds like it really kind of sucked. It's a shame for sure unfortunately ![]()

In an other interview, some guy ask him, as he wasn' feeling good in SK, if he will be in Europe or North America in the next weeks, Stephano answered "possibly, I can't say anything about it"bottom line..he can make the choice to leave korea very easily if hes not happy.... He's still in contract, and I doubt he can decide everything

A lot of pro gamers are very naive and don't know what real hard work is or what it's like in the real world to work. Being woken up in the middle of the night or early in the morning because your coach is screaming at you is not "what it's like in the real world to work". It doesn't matter how things are elsewhere, the coach should not scream at the players - it affects performance and general atmosphere in a very negative way, from my experience. And I doubt people wake you up in the middle of the night just to be unpleasant, so I don't think you're in a place to judge. The guy seems truly sad in the interview, and he rarely does that - something is obviously not right - whether that's the reason for his slightly above-mediocre performance in Proleague or not is another matter, but the coach does not have the right to harass anyone like that. If Stephano's contract had said "We are allowed to wake you up when we want, scream at you and be generally unpleasant", it would be a different matter. But, for some reason, I doubt that that is the case.

oh wait Also, since stephano can't assimilate with kespa-like trainings, I doubt he can par up with the koreans

I assume you are regularly woken up by someone screaming at you for no apparent reason? If not, I can tell you first-hand that it isn't a fun experience, especially if it happens repetetively. If it happened once, I might agree with you and say that he's overreacting. If not, then yes - I believe it qualifies as harassment, and could potentially (one of many) a factor in the below-expectations performance of Stephano and EG-TL as a whole.
