He sent me another message this morning still wanting to know more about my experience with the xbox 360 controller. I don't wanna share every message he sends me but the community wants to know I suppose ![]() It seems they really might be interested in a console port or getting as many ideas from me as possible. I know thats a scary thought for a lot of sc2 players. Still really cool none the less. He said: No worries, Cress. Thanks for getting in touch. I'd love to hear as many details as you're willing to share regarding your setup. Also, given your success on the ladder, we're really interested in hearing more about how you're liking the experience, why you choose to use a controller, and any other feedback you might have based upon your somewhat unique experience. If you'd prefer to take this conversation off of Reddit, feel free to email me directly at ***************@blizzard.com. Look forward to hearing from you. Aldrexus Wow, definitely cool to see Blizzard so interested and especially involved with the community ![]() I would definitely not mind a console port of SC2 if they manage to get it to work. Though it really depends on how hard it is to get learn to play SC2 on a controller. SC2's biggest issue is getting into the game. Definitely would be a lot harder if it's on a controller (is it intuitive enough?). Though I say the single player is a solid campaign of any RTS game. If SC2 were released on consoles, they should bundle the base game + 2 expansion packs for $60 or something. Campaign being at least 5-7 hours of campaign for WoL (10+ hours if you try to get all achievements), and hopefully at least the same for HotS and LotV, that's at least 15+ to 30 hours for SP campaign (which is a solid deal for any console game; I mean I know some people buy the CoD games just for the 10~ hour singleplayer instead of multiplayer). Again, assuming they bundle WoL + HotS + LotV (when it comes out) for if they do a console port that is. Anyway, glad to hear you've been contacted by Blizzard ![]() ![]()

Not saying you would or should, just would be interesting to see if maybe there are a handful of people out there so used to consoles and console games that they play better with the controller vs mouse and keyboard. Full ack. It has been discussed and (iirc) proven that playing with Mouse/Keyboard simply gives you more accuracy/speed and an edge over a gamepad. I remember back in the day that when UT2003 or UT2004 was about to get a console port they tried to merge Multiplayer for console and PC - and they scrapped the idea because it was not even close when looking at the results. But that's just for the competitive component - emphasizing fun and comfort I am sure that playing with a gamepad (more so infront of a TV set and on the couch) is the clear winner. And I guess in that sense a Console port makes a lot of sense as the player base is huge and the more SC gamers the merrier.

Theres a couple of ideas I have actually that might help the ease of use of mouse controls for beginner players though, Don't wanna write an essay about it here tho. I bet if they added like 15+ hours to story mode that was console exclusive theres a lot of people that really only played sc2 for the story mode and if the ladder was at least functional. Blizzard maybe pull the trigger on something like that if they could get it to work

There are a lot of console excusive games Id play if I could use a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller. IMO how you interact with a game should be up to the gamer. Congrats to this dude.
