I'm not saying you should get a free copy of HoTS but they should let you move it to another account if it isn't already so you can either A. Smurf; or B. sell it

This is entitlement that does not make sense whatsoever.
You already got something that you payed for, you got the play on different regions earlier then the rest of the people that didn't buy multiple accounts.
Now that everyone can do it suddenly you want something else you didn't pay for?
What kind of reasoning is that?

They don't really need to do anything, it's fine as it is.

Come on people be realistic, there less then 1% chance of something like that happening ;d, and i dont think it's even needed.

Not really too much to ask for. Its absurd they didn't have global play to begin with, it was just a scheme to get money from people. So yes, they should do something to reimburse people

No it wasn't, and no they shouldn't.

How can you say ?

We don't know if it was or if it was not

Because not everything is a conspiracy theory, despite what some people like to think. I honestly doubt Blizzard would hurt their game in the long run for a relatively marginal amount of money in a 2 year period.

Its not a conspiracy theory, it was a business strategy. I mean they had global support for Warcraft 3 (not sure about Starcraft, and Warcraft 2), so its really no excuse not to have it in Starcraft 2 from the beginning. Also how do you know its relatively marginal? You'd have to find the number of extra copies of WoL that were sold to people who bought them for the purpose of playing on other regions.

It's not a business strategy. You're VASTLY overestimating the % of people who would even consider buying more than one account/license.

Yeah, most buyers don't even touch multiplayer and give up trying to finish the campaign, let alone being competitive enough to want practice on other regions. TL is not representative of the millions that buy SC2.

so you effectively get free copies of hots, stop bitching now pls![/QUOTE]

nuke that. seems when i login via europe to US server, i get my us account, not a new one. seems we are gettin screwed, guess i'll be moving my other accounts to separate bnet accounts then!

I have written a ticket about this issus they told me im screwed and my 100 Euros are gone (i had 3 copys)
But i wanna propose another Solution:
Please Blizzard implement this for Global Play:
Multiple Copys of StarCraft II on one Battle.Net Account!
I think this would be the best solution for Blizzard and for us customers

I think that adding extra stuff for people that bought more than one account is unreasonable. No one forced anyone to buy those extra accounts, and they served their purpose for the time they existed, now they just have more accounts that still work to smurf on. That is a still a positive, they got what they payed for.
User was warned for too many mimes.

The issue isn't additional copies. The issue is additional copies linked to the same email address.

For example: At release someone buys NA account then later buys an EU account with the same email address, but with the release of global play, instead of having two seperate licenses they have been merged as one. Instead of owning two accounts that have access to global play, we only have one account like everyone else who bought one game. It's not really a BIG deal, but it is money wasted if they don't allow us a way to convert the additional account into an actual extra account somehow.

It's not like having an old PC and you want a new one for free. You still have your old PC and can still use it. Your additionnal account worth 0$, you can have NO use of it.

It's more like you buy 2 PC, you can buy to upgrade one, while they make you throw the other into the trash can...

With Global Play, those with 2 or more copies of SC2 on one account, for multiple regions, will have bought multiple copies of SC2 for no eventual reason. The money paid for those additional copies will be meaningless.

Should Blizzard be nice and do something like give free HotS to people who now have multiple copies of SC2 that they were made to buy because of the lack of Global Play? Or is it just a case of screw the customers and they shouldn't get anything?

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/starcraft-ii-global-play-faq

Basically we paid twice for WoL in order to get something that is now a part of the base WoL package, so IMO we should get back that money in some fashion. Getting a free copy of HotS seems reasonable, since it was Blizzard being bad at making a game that caused the whole issue in the first place.

This isn't true. I plan to use all my copies to have A zerg account, a protoss account, a terran account and a random account.

EDIT: Oh... never, ever put a second account on the same email. It's almost always a bad idea.

1: can't sell it, trade it, or give it away
2: Can't multi log on different games with the same bnet account.

You already got what you wanted out of the purchase which was the ability to play WoL cross region for as long as you had those accounts and thats what you paid the money to do. Asking for the money back after getting what you wanted out of it seems the epitome of the saying "having ones cake and eating it".

Anyone missing the good old days where you bought a game to own it, instead of buying a license for a game from a company that can change the terms of that license to whatever the fuck they want to at any moment in time?

Yeah, me too.

I think some of you don't understand the issue we are talking about
I'll try to keep it short

Some of us wanted to play on different servers and bought multiple StarCraft II Copys, but put them on the same Battle.net account. Now with Global Play we have ONE Account with avery Region unlocked. Would i have put my 3 Copys on different Battle.net accounts then I would have THREE Accounts with every Region unlocked!

Now we want refunds in any form or way.
Earler in this thread i suggested this:
I have written a ticket about this issus they told me im screwed and my 100 Euros are gone (i had 3 copys)
But i wanna propose another Solution:

Anyone not understanding the issue here which is blizzard completely scamming people are not being smart. If I want 2 hots accounts, I actually have to buy 3 sc2s. How is this right? How do you reason that from now on I actually should buy all blizzard games under different accounts because there's risk that something you own will just get suddenly "merged"? What's next? Say that I get banned in SC2: do I also get ban to my wow/d3 accounts because they're under same account? If I've bought 2 times SC2, it's exactly as I've bought Diablo3 and WoW. You don't suddenly just lose one of them no matter what.

They said at the beginning that Global play was something that was in the works for the future.

Not their fault you couldn't wait.
