How dare blizzard try to improve our gaming experience! Curse you David Kim!

If you contact Blizzard support and ask them nicely, they will transfer your additional license(s) to a new Battle.net account(s).
Source: I did it myself.

Depends where u live. EU support denies such requests
|
Just ask the US support to move the licenses to different Battle.net accounts.
@DusTerr People with multiple regions have multiple licenses, of which they lose all but one. (A license is worth about 20$ today in a shop).

Hmm that works? cause last time I tried they told me to contact eu as my bnet is eu registered.
It's a real swizz blizz telling people who bought multiple copies they get hots on all profiles...I mean that was the point of global play for everyone...Now if say I wanted another account id have to buy another WoL lol

Mine didn't deny it at all.
After a short blizzard support livechat:
Trixnixx at 13:53:27 Hey you at 13:53:28 Hello hello! Trixnixx at 13:53:37 Please give me a moment to read your ticket to see how I can help you you at 13:53:41 No problem ^_^ Trixnixx at 13:58:49 I am back again, sorry for the wait time. Trixnixx at 13:59:01 I cannot move the license from one account to another Trixnixx at 13:59:03 But Trixnixx at 13:59:32 I can remove the one here and then add a new one on the account you mentioned herein, but you will lose the achievements etc. Trixnixx at 13:59:37 Do you wish me to do this? you at 14:00:02 That'd be great, you can take the US one.. that one is just for tournaments anyway so there's not really any achievements on there you at 14:00:08 the EU one contains all the achievements Trixnixx at 14:00:28 Ok, will do, one moment please. you at 14:00:31 Ok!
also:
you at 14:03:52 Does this mean the additional license is unhooked from hte pre-ordered HotS license, that I have to purchase a hots license on the new account as well, in order to play on hots with the second account? Trixnixx at 14:04:20 No, no need to buy another one Trixnixx at 14:04:27 You have it on the new second account.
So said, so done!

My main account has the Deluxe edition pre-ordered, and my alt account the standard version.. but hey I am anything but complaining! Got my license transferred ánd I got a free HotS upgrade. (I contacted EU support)

Your ticket must have been very nice =)

Some people talk to the support for days without success and you just chat with EU support for some minutes and get your license moved, a free copy of hots. Are you someone important working at Blizzard maybe?

No not at all :-).. either I got lucky or it was my enthousiastic approach that did it..
..or, I don't know. But I'm satisfied and I hope you guys will manage too~!

Well, I messaged them two days ago about it, and still no response... Kinda losing out on this, because I have two battlenet accounts, which each had purchased EU & NA license on them.
|
I just got off blizz's live chat about this. Twice.
Both times after explaining the situation clearly, both representatives assured me that each license is supposed to have its own profile for global play. If you have 2 licenses, you get to login each region with 2 different profiles.
And that a lot of people are having this problem where it seems as if they have lost licenses.
Both of them told me to wait until the problem is fixed and that I should not unmerge my licenses.
Again, this is after explaining the problem in detail and linking to various forum topics about it.

Pretty hilarious. 9 out of 10 people I meet on NA server are EUs from diamond and masters. I feel sorry for the real gold/platinum NAs...
|
Well I submitted a ticket and talk to a Game Master for an hour and they refuse to do anything about this. I don't understand how this is legal. To take someone's 2nd game license and remove it, and not allow them to move it to another account or restore it or no offer of some sort of credit.
|
I just spoke with US Blizzard and they told me that they won't do anything for it because at the time the technology didn't exist(funny how WoW had it....and Brood War...and Warcraft 3..............) and so purchasing the extra region keys at the time was something that they consider "a privilege" because they let us play on those servers even though we didn't live in those regions.

what a joke, blizzard just delets my nicely formulated ticket
|
It wasn't even allowed to have several accounts officially. Why would you get a free game for breaking the rules? Even if you paid for it. Ridiculous.
|
okay, i just used the livechat he said (in german, so i won t copy it)
inexperienced gamemasters are transfering accounts, because they think they are nice to the customer
they are working on a general solution (working very hard on it he said) a solution which fixes that for everyone

What in the world makes you think its not legal to have multiple accounts? That would give every progamer some serious problems now wouldn't it?
In fact, I'm fairly sure its allowed to play on multiple accounts at the same time if you, for some odd reason, want to. As long as there's no automation (bots, cheats, etc) involved.
