It is telling of her personality that after being complemented and being paid tribute to in the announcement video, she chose instead of engage in petty tit-for-tat. It's also utterly unsurprising. As a law graduate I would imagine TB knows his stuff. He's a marketing boss and aware of contract and copyright law. This team will go far, I see it as the next TL or EG, you seem to be proficient about korean law What do you say about 부정경쟁방지및영업비밀보호에관한법률 제 2 조. Also they used photographs of the players that may be owned by jessica (depends on the contract with the photographs and the players of course) TB specifically said they didn't use any photo's that belonged to ex-slayers staff. You got any proof saying otherwise? And please go on specifying how Korean law effect content on youtube. I hope you are aware that TB's whole living is based on him not breaking copyright laws since it puts his whole channel at risk. the question whether the photos might be a problem is something thatcan be aswered only through the specific contractual relations between photographer, slayers and the players.
the other question is about the uniforms. there are several related statutes, as the design protection act (which requires registration), general copyright law and the law against unfair practices. from what i have seen the design protection act is probably not relevant as there is no design patent (i only searched with jessicas korean name). the general copyright act might be applicable if the design was made by jessica herself or she had a designer specifically design the uniforms and had a contract that gives her the exploitation rights for the design. the law against unfair practices may be applicable too. the law against unfair practices protects the form and the subject of a product or service. the formfactor of a uniform maybe subject of protection (the last part im not sure so i asked)

Very interesting to see how this all turns out. I think TB is becoming more and more influential within SC2. The Geordie Berlusconi of ESports? haha

Holy hell thats cool! Hope for an MMA resurgence in GSTL Axiom-Acer fighting!
|
I love all their quotes and how they were taking shots at each other. MMA's soup makes people depressed. And the part at the end is great too.
|
I hope TB will be in the GomTV studies ... just to add a bit of awesomeness.
If Axiom plays to its capabilities, the players will make playing versus other teams look like playing the campaign.

Love TB, hoping for win in first season

team looking pretty strong, gl to them

Scarlett being in this is so awesome! Hooray for Canada :D

This is cool news, but am I really the only person out there that just can't stand Totalbiscuit? His bias when hes casting Crank's games bother me so much.
|
Also, why is Crank headlining this team? I think the real headliners are MMA and Scarlett.

CranK is the captain of the team. The captain is not necessarily the ace, but the most experienced player. As an STX and SKT BW player in teamleagues as well as in a de-facto coach role in SlayerS he is clearly the most suitable for the position.
Your other criticism is merely fluff.

Crank was the first Axiom player. It began with him

Thats a good, well balanced line up both in skill as well as races. Impressive.

Isn't that a petty remark? TB has done so much for SC2 and esports and continues to do so, now you criticise a bias regarding Crank. TB choose him for a reason as the first Axiom player.
From what we know, the Axiom owners actually care about their players and have a personal relationship, too. Players are not just a resource for them. I think we should support team owners who stand behind every player.

This is funny... you seem to think somebody like TB is doing these things for e-sports out of the goodness of his heart, while others may speculate hes just trying to cash in. Either way, I am perfectly entitled to my opinion about him as an individual, caster and team owner. You cannot deny that he shows bias towards Crank in particular when he casts his game.

I'm curious as to how you manage to keep control over this whole thing. I mean it's in Korea, with Korean players, Korean business people, a Korean apartment, and most of all, Korean communication. This is all pretty tough stuff. If you just walked over there and said, "I'm a wealthy white guy/woman and I want to run a team here", how would you NOT get taken advantage of to hell and back in every possible situation? I'm really happy for you guys because it seems to work out well, but how do you maintain a powerful position despite being as foreign as it gets?
Oh and congratulations on the house and the GSTL stuff! Easy. Reliable and trustworthy players, friends, translators and competent management and owners. i laughed hey farnham, you're in luck... this is actually really fortunate for you: If your theory is true, Axiom should disband before long and Genna and TB will come out saying that Crank and the other guys are horrible people and it was all their fault. and if that doesn't happen, what are you gonna say? Hey maybe they get along well But with what was disclosed of those players i have to say thr imagr i get from their personalities is more than dissapointing. I will not root for players that have good skills but are horrible persons. MMA - paying his personal coach (ryuwon, who he claimed was on jessicas payroll) nothing except a video card and lying about it Alicia- demanding to be picked up from the airport personally. Demanding not to be used in team league games. Crank - pretty much blaming everyone but himself for his bad performance and general lack of success (boxer did nothing for us my ass. If it wasnt for boxer esports in korea would not exist) Ryung - typing in childish complains about game (imba) balance in the semi finals of gsl Man such terrible terrible persons. Better hide your kids and hide your wifes, Koreans, there are still some people out there that want to be picked up from the airport personally.
