I don't get it. Redbull is not giving the money to keep squirtle?

I honestly feel that at this point it looks like Kespa is just going to start pulling ahead of GOM. This is very unfortunate because I honestly think its crucial to have both organizations active and around in eSports. It's come to the point where Kespa is picking up many of the successful ESF players and eventually those teams will have to give up because their "big gun" players , ex; Parting, Squirtle (a large portion of the teams sponsorship) are getting picked up by Kespa teams. (Of course we still have to wait and see where Squirtle goes XD)

Wow ... this is a bad time for ST.

Yeah, they do have a ton of other great players - but losing Parting and Squirtle who's been two of the strongest Protoss' for the past year really hurts. I hope they'll continue existing - and I hope that this doesn't foreshadow future problems/the team falling apart.

Good luck to Squirtle none-the-less!

Squirtle definitely wasn't a top star and Parting is only slightly ahead of life imo.

Bomber+Life are still super popular (even if bomber is just "can he beat his curse?"). Curious is pretty good, and they still have a load of ZeNEX players to use.

I'm confused, how can anyone make an argument that Parting is ahead of Life? Sure he has had a lot of success recently, but is anyone better than Life right now?

No one is ahead of Life, Life is 16 and on track to win his 4th premier tournament in 3 months at Iron Squid. Maybe if Parting had won Blizzard Cup...

Looks like the elephant is not the KeSPA players, but the KeSPA money. The typical strategy of "If you can't beat them, buy them."

It seems that every tournament is premier tournament nowadays.

This is pretty sad. I hope Squirtle joins SKT, hate me for it, Rain/PartinG/Squirtle just sounds too stronk.

Damn... I hate to see this happen to Startale. They seemed to be strong enough to hold on to their players along with IM, but losing two just now... wow. I'm fine with KeSPA teams taking over if their players are simply better, but buying them out is a bit sad to me, especially with the decisions they have made in the past.

Edit:

It's just his opinion. Based on recent results, it is fair to say that they are each the current best of their respective races. They did face off in the Blizzard cup where Life did win, but one win obviously doesn't make one player better than another. It's impossible to say who is truly better in all the different potential situations they can end up in, so that's why he said "imo."

" Premier Tournaments offer an outstanding prize pool, are frequently played out offline, and feature the best players from all over the world. They are commonly held by well-established franchises and are considered especially prestigious amongst the community. "

If you want to talk the real " premier " tournament, Life has 2 GSL's to Parting's 0. Which makes it look even more in his favor.

I'm not arguing about parting being better, I believe Life is far better than Parting, and much more potential also.
Just imo, no foreign tournaments can be called premier tournament. Or we can invent another word to describe tournaments better than premier ones.

If they wouldn't have their red bull sponsorship I'd be starting to wonder if they'll disband soon.
Lets hope they'll be able to grab symbol/polt or another good free agent.

You know I hope with parting and squirtle leaving, this doesn't prompt other koreans to find other teams. Startale may have low salaries or not able to offer higher salaries as other teams now a days.
