ST's Protoss line just imploded. Time for AcE, Avenge, and the other ex-ZeNEX guys to step it up.

That actually doesn't sound all that unlikely.

Parting and Squirtle are two of the best Protoss players out there, if anyone deserves salaries in the Starcraft 2 world, it's those two.

I find it funny that a lot of people thought eSF was still going to be the dominant force in StarCraft 2 after KeSPA entered the scene.

Most of the eSF teams (if not all) will be slowly cannibalized, the best players will enter KeSPA teams, or highly salaried foreigner teams (most likely EG or Liquid).

This is ironic, because some people were claiming that the competition thus far in SC2 was a farce, and that the "elephants" would dominate soon after they switched. Instead, we see Kespa teams going after eSF stars with promises of fat salaries, looking to strengthen their rosters.

Lots of the eSF "A-teamers" are already far surpassed by many KeSPA players. Not to mention, the top KeSPA players are already competition for the top eSF players, if not better. Rain looks to be the best Protoss in the world. Flash, Innovation, Fantasy, and other Terrans are making KeSPA Terrans look very strong as the days go by. Zerg - look at players like Roro, Soulkey, and soO. Excellent competitors.

No irony here. eSF just doesn't have the same talent pools. They have a lot of the best players, but they are comparable to the top KeSPA players and many KeSPA A-teamers. Without the top players, eSF has nothing going for them in terms of star power.

So we can quantify personality now?^^

In close cases, no. But it doesn't take a genius to figure out someone like PartinG has more personality than say, aLive.

Parting is ofc really extroverted and feels comfortable in the spotlight, while aLive does not. That's right, but that doesn't mean he has "less" of a personality(being shy also shows personality) and I think it's extremely arrogant to say things like this. I don't care which type of personality you prefere, but please don't talk about it in such a manner. You can't do much about your charakter and I doubt aLive is happy that he's so shy/introverted(atleast most people don't enjoy being shy). Just imagine how he has to feel, knowing there are dozens of people on the internet claiming "I don't like this guy, he has no personality!".

I dont know if this was mentioned but bomber yday said on his stream that this will be his last gsl (i guess because of army, he got summons not long ago as he mentioned in his up and down interview), meaning that startale's core will be shattered in a few months.

Bomber later said in his streamchat that he was just joking.

Yeah never believe bomber when he says he's going to the military. When he goes I'm not going to believe it until several months after it happens.

I remember saying the same thing in his fanclub once, lol. It made everyone really really sad.

Most heartbreaking april fools ever >.<

This isn't to say Parting is a nicer person than Squirtle or Squirtle is a boring guy, but Parting's personality is more marketable than Squirtle's. He markets himself well in interviews, takes over events with his ceremonies, and he's an engaging personality that draws fans to him.

You're absolutely right, but I just don't like the way how this whole community talks about personality and stuff like this. There are like a million posts on TL stating something like "Man, them stupid Koreans have like no personality at all. They are so boring, I mean it's not that hard to have a personality.". Imo it's really rude and even kinda heartless to talk about a persons charakter in such a calculating manner. But I guess that's the internet...
I'm just curious if Kespa even cares about personality that much. Afaik they don't really depend on streams, fan interviews and public stuff like this, that requires a personality like Partings, in the way foreign teams do. Or do I have a completely wrong picutre of them?

well this is what I got out of Banks .. Hope more info is released soon.

So pretty much as expected? ST probably offered them a really good salary, just not as much as Kespa teams can. It's understandable that they want to secure as much money as they can right now, but still kinda sad, because Esf looks really crippled right now.

Wasn't Bisu originally signed because he was good looking?

Personality, looks and all that does matter. There is a reason why 90% of the people who show up to Proleague are high school girls.

Don't know about Bisu, since the only thing I know about BW is pretty much from Liquipedia(I read a lot BW articles, but still...). Ofcourse looks, personality, etc matter, but to me it just always felt Kespa players didn't need to bring those attributes. Again, I didn't follow BW at all and only get so see maybe 2-3 PL games per round, but besides the post-game interviews I don't notice any form of player-marketing that's comparable to how for example Idra, Incontrol and all these other foreign players are marketed and promoted.

So Squirtle really to Kespa...I wonder who will follow the next couple of months until HotS is out.

Dat delusion.

Stop making this a Kespa vs eSF thread.

Squirtle has underwhelmed since his days of yore in IPL4/GSL Season 2. Hopefully this change will reignite the pashun.

First TSL, now Startale. Kespa teams phasing out GSL teams.
Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Oh wait, all the top korean players are leaving the SC2 teams in the hopes of joining Kespa teams...because they pay, like money. Its weird how that works.

I feel like this was sort of a poor decision by Squirtle.... ST is one of the top teams in Korea, and they continue to grow as a team. If he really wants to join a KeSPA team I can see that to be hard to do, considering its him and Parting as free agents for them.

It might be hard for him to find a foreign team that can afford him, and I don't see EG getting involved since they have Protosses in JYP and Huk, and TL just picked up Snute and I don't see them getting another player.

Either way I wish him good luck because be is in my top three favorite Protoss.
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

I could have sworn there was an agreement to freeze transfers between KeSPA and ESF teams?

*apparently, I have been told theres a loophole regarding contracts that end.
