I think that it's most likely because A) he won the match for EG-TL which Koreans put more emphasis on TEAM results rather than INDIVIDUAL results. (and i'm sure there's a lot of pressure to go in late in the matchup and win for your team) and B) the whole foreigner not winning for 6 years probably just made him look more impressive to them. | ||
