Anti-team is so hard this round. Just totally revamped mine. Also, I keep accidentally trying to take all terrans for my main team.

So last round I had two players on my main team who retired on me, and all three on my anti-team got like 15 points each... so it was a rough round hopefully this team will perform a little better!

Team ApBuLLet

Main Team
5 (Z)Crazy-Hydra
3 (Z)Hydra
5 (P)JYP
2 (Z)Shine
9 (T)TaeJa (captain)
2 (T)ThorZain
4 [tlpd#teams##sc2-korean]SK Telecom T1[/tlpd]

Anti Team
6 (Z)Action
4 (Z)hyvaa
3 (Z)Ryul2

So here is my reasoning for this team. I wanted to base my team around Taeja because last round he beat tough players in all three matchups, and his only losses were to other high-caliber players (Rain and herO[join]), so I see no reason why his success won't continue. JYP and Crazy-Hydra were my next two choices because they were both very consistent and beat some good players in round 1, which makes me feel like they are reliable choices. Hydra I picked because I needed someone for three points and after a little bit of looking around he seemed like a decent option.

Shine and Thorzain low-point risks that I am not counting on, but could see rewarding me for only 2 points each. Sure Shine did horrible but hes on a crappy team so I am sure he will still get playing time and hopefully turn things back around. Thorzain on the other hand didn't play so great either but I always think he has the potential to have a big week.

I picked SKT because they are a good team overall and I think they will fair even better in an all-kill format because they have TWO ace caliber players in Fantasy and Rain, which I think makes them very threatening.

For my anti team I chose Action to account for most of the 13 points because I don't think he will live up to his 6 point value this round. If you look at his record in round 1, he didn't win against a single decent player the whole time (although he did beat ThorZaiN and Hydra who are on my main team... so maybe I'm just a hypocrite). I may be wrong about him but most other players at his point value or higher have proven themselves by beating higher caliber players than Action has.

Covenant of Dawn

Main Team
3 (T)Bbyong
Had him last time. Wasn't too disappointed, steal for 3 points.
4 (Z)hyvaa
I don't have good justification for this one. Wanted a 4-point Zerg.
3 (Z)Revival
I think he's excellent. I hope I'm right.
8 (P)Shy (captain)
As much as I love Fantasy, went for Shy as my ace this time. I feel he'll do well every round.
6 (P)Wooki
Playing excellent. KT is on a roll, my biggest fear is that others will clean up before him.
2 (T)yeOngJae
He's looked good from what I've seen, one of the stronger 2-pointers.
4 [tlpd#teams##sc2-korean]SK Telecom T1[/tlpd]
They're strong, and my favourite team.

Anti Team
6 (Z)RorO
2 (Z)Shine
5 (P)Stork
Samsung is bad at the moment, and Shine on my team kept me out of doing well last round. RorO was excellent for a time, but I haven't been impressed with him lately at all.

I think EGTL will have a rough week going against the 2 power houses, but i dont doubt Teeja has a map picked out for Flash and will be waiting. And as much as i like the KT roster, im putting my money on Teeja taking that momentum and running with it for at least a few kills. I think Speed (Cure) is set up for a good week starting against Khan and then sniping against CJ. Flying, Light and s2 really underrated at 2 and 3 cost, pretty sure they will all see use and WJS and SKT solid teams. Hon_sin (Bravo) was consistently exciting and impressive in round one and i look to him as a points performer week in and week out.
I made this team based heavily on my thoughts of the week one matchups and will be looking to trade a fair amount the first couple weeks. But after looking at the teams people are posting i really like the strat of getting benchwarmers from winning teams and then picking up 2 aces, i thnk that will probably be the winning formula this round. Pretty excited, good luck everyone!!

For my main team, Baby and hero[join] are going to be my anchors. I put Baby as captain because since the rest of team 8 is relatively weak compared to him, it's almost guaranteed that he will play in every match, so I'm confident he will be a consistent point scorer throughout the round. Likewise, CJ doesn't really have any other standout players other than Effort, so I expect hero[join] to play a lot as well. Best, Hydra, and Light are all solid 3 pointers I feel, and I expect them to get a fair amount of playtime. Also, they are all starters for 1 match during week 1, so I hope they can each score a few kills and up their trade value so that I can potentially trade them for some of week 2's starters. Acacia is just there for the team points, since I expect KT to do pretty well again in Round 2. Also, I chose a zerg for my 1 pointer so I will have more flexibility if I wanted to trade Hydra. I think SKT is going to do well relative to their price. Rain, Fantasy, and Soo are all capable of multi-kills. Plus, since teams earn less points this round for winning, it's better to spend more on a better player than getting a more expensive team.

I've had success in the past with the anti-team strategy of selecting one high value player and 2 low value players, so I'm doing it again here. I doubt Zenio will get much play time in this format, since the EG-TL lineup is so deep. Taeja, Stephano, Jaedong, Hero, Revival, and JYP would all get sent out before Zenio. Idra simply isn't going to play, so he's a safe pick. Among the 8 point players, Bogus has looked the weakest, and he's terran, so I'm just going to hope he flops.

R1: Decent placement (#585) for the first time in round one for me, thanks to TaeJa (7pts) and Fantasy (6pts, LOL). BaBy tucked me over though, should've played it safe with Stephano trade T_T

These picks were much harder.. Initially made Rain + Stephano (+ scrubs team), but then realized they can be sniped while scrubs win nothing

Main theme was well-rounded players with slight favor to Protoss and Zerg players - coaches ♥ map-based picks, and there were more Ps and Zs fielded on proleague maps (Entombed Valley feels like P&Z heaven lately, don't know how "Neo" maps look though). Strangely enough I have 2Z 2P 2T composition. Lastly, T1 is basically Rain + Fantasy for 4 points.

Got ranked 327 last round so either i'm really lucky at picking or i'm good at this.

Hoping for some big sweeps from my heavy hitters HerO and TaeJa.

Oooh!

I have to say, I like that team... Except personally I'd pick Revival over Bisu.

Haha, believe it or not before you even posted that I switched Bisu with Revival. I didn't realize that Revival was ranked that low, such a snatch.

3 (T)Light
4 SK Telecom T1

Anti Team
5 (P)JYP
3 (T)Reality
5 (P)Stork

Reasoning
Balance was key in my picking:
Main
-Acacia as filler, free points when KT wins.
-Bbyong is undervalued slightly imo, good bang for buck.
-Crazy Hydra performed well for me last round, going with him.
-Dear because I needed a Protoss, seemed to do well last round.
-Fantasy cause he led my team last round ^^.
-Light b/c people are saying he's a beast, so I guess I'll hop onto the bandwagon haha.
-SKT b/c again, most bang for buck, Rain & Fantasy as their two headed monster = lots of all kills hopefully =)
Anti
I expect Samsung Khan to get stomped alot, so I went with Stork & Reality. Went with JYP b/c there were no other Khan players available lol.

I'd say your team is pretty good so far. I'm not 100% sold on the sniping logic but you probably can't go wrong with a well-rounded team. My opinion is that Ryul2 hasn't shown enough to convince me he's that good, and the Last vs. Light debate is pretty controversial. I side with Light but if you prefer Last, there's nothing wrong with that. Nobody really knows.

As for your anti team, I think that while hOn_sin may not be worth 5 necessarily, he's still pretty good. You can decide between him and JangBi's (who does give you a 1 point advantage), that is kind of tough.

4 (P)Trap

7 (Z)Jaedong
3 (T)Reality

Speed is a really strong macro player, I think he and BaBy will carry Team 8 a lot in all kill format. Team 8 for 2 points is probably the best deal in the team picks.
Light is undervalued at 3. He's a really strong player that was rumored to be sick the first few weeks of round 1 so didn't see much play, but will probably be core player for Stars going forward.
Hon_sin was a bit pricey at 5 points. I'm actually contemplating between Hon_son and soo as they are both 5 points and both strong macro players that have a lot of potential in all kill. I think Woongjin Stars is the strongest team in all kill format so went with Hon_sin in the end.
Revival is undervalued as well. He has always performed well back in GSTL for TSL before, and just beat Gumiho and Leenock in IPTL for EG. He could very well upset Flash in the opening match, but even if he doesn't Revival is a good long term investment.
Taeja because team Taeja, reverse all kill all day everyday.
Trap because I realized I had 4 points left and must pick a protoss. I think he underperformed in round 1 so 4 point is a pretty good deal. Bogus has not been playing that impressively IMO and I think Trap and Dear will have to carry a lot of weight for STX this proleague season.

Jaedong on anti team? Blasphemy! Well actually Jaedong is going to be in Vegas for some kingston hyperx tournament. So he 100% won't play the 2nd series vs SKT1, and possibly will be on a flight and miss the KT match as well. That's good enough odds for me. Anti team with the new adjusted values is hard as hell and this is by far the best anti team pick given what we know about the travel timing.
Bisu because he has not performed well in SC2 at all. I don't see SKT1 using him a lot.
Reality is risky pick but so are most of the 3 pointers anyway. Reality will see a lot of play from KHAN, as he's the core 4 along with Stork/Jangbi/RorO, but he hasn't performed well. Might switch to hitman for this pick because with Flash/Stats/Wooki/Action/Crazy Hydra on KT's core hitman won't see much play in all kill format.

I had to have Taeja in this. I was debating between Taeja and HerO and I just had much more confidence in Taeja to pull off a streak.

Put Jaedong in the Antiteam because I think he's not gonna come up with the bacon.. Very tempted to put Stephano in the antiteam with his GSL prep and foreigner legacy but chickened out.

edit: Argh A Taeja Rain team though could be wise.

Team Infinity

Main Team
9 (T)Fantasy (captain)

Was having a hard time deciding between Taeja and Fantasy. Originally I wanted to use them both but I have a feeling Taeja might be sniped a lot by a strong PvTer. Also Fantasy might be played earlier and is thus has more All-kill potential, as SKT always has Rain to fall back on as their ace.

2 (P)Flying

Flying did poorly last season, which makes him a steal this season as a 2pointer. Still looks to be a solid protoss.

8 (P)herO[jOin]

8pointers are really tough this season. Baby, Bogus, Soulkey, shy, effort and stephano are up there with Hero. All of these players except Stephano had a strong round 1, but all of them also lost to players I'd consider weaker than them. In the end I decided on HerO since he is CJ's ace player and also solid in every matchup. I Have a feeling this will make or break my performance this season.

3 (T)Last

He's 3-3 this season with losses coming at the hands of baby and roro. Looks underpriced to me.

1 (P)Mini

Best 1point option imo. He might get some playtime.

3 (Z)Revival

Impressive run against FXO last week. Solid in all matchups

4 SK Telecom T1

the AK format favors a team like SK which has two very reliable players in Fantasy and Rain. And only cost 4 points, no-brainer for me.

Anti Team
7 (Z)Jaedong

Overpriced I feel, very hit or miss and rather easy to snipe (I hope).

3 (Z)SonGDuri

I don't think he will get played much, CJ has 4 or 5 better players overall.

3 (Z)Zenio

I don't think he will get played a lot or at all with this format.

(Z)Soulkey
6-2 last round and I think he will do very well in this rounds format.

(P)Wooki
Good showing the first round going 4-1 and I really liked his play.

(T)Speed
Going 4-2 in the first round for T8...this guy will get a lot of playing time, and for 4 points this was a steal.

(Z)Ryul2
He'll get a lot of playing time for T8 and from the games I saw him play in I was really impressed. I can only see him getting better, and at 3 points I had to have him on my team.

(T)Light
Didn't get to see his games, but from what I've heard he's a steal at 3 points. Plus going 2-0 in the first round doesn't hurt

(T)Major
Finally living his dream, I think Major is going to do very well in this round. Seeing Team 8s record in the last round, I think Major will see a lot of playing time and win a lot. A lot of playing time + winning @ 2 points = win win win!

[tlpd#teams##sc2-korean]SK Telecom T1[/tlpd]
Was going to pick SK Telecom T1 this round anyway, but I think they will be the strongest team for this sort of format with Rain and Fantasy leading the way.

Anti Team

(P)JangBi
Not worth 6 points and from what happened last round I think this is a safe anti team pick.

(P)Stork
Same reason as JangBi, but not worth 5 points.

(P)Huk
Won't see a lot of playing time.

Leta Crossdressing

Main Team
3 (T)Bbyong
1 (P)BisAnG
9 (T)Fantasy
10 (T)Flash (captain)
1 (Z)fOKINS
2 (T)ThorZain
4 SK Telecom T1

Anti Team
3 (Z)Hitman
5 (P)JYP
5 (P)Stork

Main team
Im going for a pretty all-innish style, picking two really good guys (Fantasy and Flash) and hope for them to score some allkills or atleast do good. So either they do good and it goes well or they fail to deliver and then my whole team is in the dumpster.

Bbyong can do well and I think he is worth 3 points.

Thorzain for two points could be nice, I think he will win more than he will lose if he gets to play. Also nice to get some +1 points if EG-TL wins.

fOKINS and BisAnG are 1 pointers both in WJS, I think WJS will do good so they can net me some +1 points.

Since I wanted to choose a team that could rack up some wins but still was semi cheap I chose SKT.

Anti Team
Hitman is on KT so might get some +1s from KT wins but I doubt he will see much play and if he will play I think he will lose.

JYP I dont like that much and I think he is quite awful

Stork is somewhat of a chancepick, he might do good but I hope he wont!

Took a daaaaaaamn long time figuring my team out for this round. Lots of second-guessing after reading some of the smarter FPL'ers reasoning in this thread.

Team Light Breakout!

Main Team
1 (T)sSak (captain)
3 (Z)Revival
3 (T)Light
5 (Z)ZerO
7 (P)Stats
8 (P)herO[jOin]
3 [image loading] CJ Entus

Anti Team
3 (Z)Hitman
5 (P)JYP
5 (P)Stork

Main Team

Start from the top: sSak is one point, on a team that is likely going to kick ass. sSak, I personally believe, also has a better chance to play over Acacia (whom lots of people seem to be picking.) Either are good picks, but I've already got slots filled by KT members, so I wanted to spread-out just a little since I don't have any other SKT in my line-up. Gotta get dem free points!

Revival. Three points. Sick Zerg who's guaranteed to play this week and next thanks to A) him opening in the first night, and B) Jaedong being out-of-country next week. I'm pretty confident he'll see a lot of play outside these days, so I'm going to go for him first over the multitude of 3-pointers in case he wins against FlaSh. I'll still get those sick EG-TL wins! Think of it as an investment.

Speaking of investments, I've also picked Light, the team champion! Three-point players were a hard slot to fill. Light? He's got sick potential and has shown it with a 2-0 in the first round, and opens this week against a weak Samsung KHAN. Stork has looked like he's shaping-up, but we still don't know. I'm hopeful, but keep in mind that Light was only fielded twice this season, against mediocre opponents, and there's probably a reason he's only been fielded twice. After an hour of back-and-forthing over three-pointers, this is the result, though: a risk taken in hopes we see his BW skill shine-through on Team Winjin STARS! Get it? Win? Winjin? Get i-

ZerO! More Woongjin. They're gonna kick some ass. So, my five-pointer was between Crazy-Hydra, ZerO and hOn_sin. At first I wanted to pick Crazy-Hydra since he's the motherfuckin' Crazy-Hydra (and he's on KT Flash), then I wanted to pick hOn_sin since he's the clearest sniper, going 4-2 against some sick Terrans in the last round, but ZerO has also taken some prolific names. He might be 4-3, but he just seems more rounded.

For my KT investment -- which should really be larger -- I've got Stats. He's got good stats. He's kind of lacking a chin nowadays, which makes me sad, but I still love him. He did really well last round, and his team is looking good for this round between FlaSh and himself. And those Zergs I guess.

Most expensive pick? herO. All this talk about everyone but CJ Entus, and CJ is my second most-invested team. herO is going to get played every game, and he's still looking pretty consistent in his wins, so he's my big pick for players. I don't know how well his team will do in this round's format, but I'm confident he'll do well, and hopefully I can trade him for an ace on another, better team.

My last pick, my team, is CJ Entus. Not too worried about team-based points this round since they got nerfed, and CJ is good for three points. I'd rather allocate that extra point needed for SKT1 in to the above Fantasy team.

Anti-Team

Hitman I just edited-in as I decided derpface has a better idea about anti-teaming than I do. Hitman guaranteeing me a negative point a week, but just that? derpface is right: Hitman ain't gonna see the light of day.

JYP isn't going to see much time. I don't think he'll excel in this format, and there are stronger players on the team who have a better chance of finishing-off the game before the camera ever sees this kpop star. He'll lose to FanTaSy as starter in the first week, then bye-bye. I hope. Please.

Stork... he's lookin' like he might be finding himself, but I'm taking the risk and saying we're going to see another mediocre showing against this round's strong opponents. Additionally, Samsung isn't going to do too hot, so there's always the not having to worry about "my team won" points.

Edited for Hitman.
