I did the same thing... Not starting the first week plus meh results seems good enough to me!

You know they've been doing that for a while during the Fantasy Pools, right? ._.

Well didn't do bad for the first time with 90 points. Now hope my gambles pay off xD

I took a ton of chances with my all-kill squad and had to sacrifice a few favourites of mine in Taeja and picking KT Rolster to have group that all have a chance of doing a lot of damage in this format.

User was warned for this post I don't agree with the tone he took, but I do think it's kinda of a joke to reward an icon for the first round of a completely unknown league... It devalues everyone else's icons that were rewarded for an entire season with alot of thought and work put into it. My bad, I was mistaken. The icon is for the winner of this entire season. I've edited the OP to reflect my mistake. Interviews still stand though. =)

I'm not looking forward to this round so much, the GSTL fantasy league just became who had the most points from their other 5 players and anti team and also chose DRG. The question is who'll be the undervalued beast this season who'll be unaffordable by week 2.
Q: You picked an almost all KT team this round. Was this because you thought all KT players just happened to be undervalued this round or do you think it's always a good strategy to pick an entire team? Because Bisu sucks.
A true KT fanboy would've answered this.

Yes but lets be fair, what DRG did that season was basically all kill every single team he faced like clockwork. It was disturbing to watch every player lose then him step up and reverse all kill every single week.
Also I just realised that with only 4 players per team being sent out I might have to rethink my picks.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought the teams would carry over between rounds... my (somewhat) careful planning last round is now wasted :-(.

First time taking part in a Fantasy League I first picked all the players without paying notice the point-restrictions. I think my final team looks nothing like the first picks.
well, here goes nothing! Good luck to everyone

Still don't quite understand the backlash over my earlier comment. I finished in 5th position that round. This guy did nothing but pick a KT team and get lucky just like me. The interview is amusing in that context, which is how I saw it. An interview with someone who actually plays FPL and trades would've been more interesting.

I feel like all-kill format favours the top players and therefore it might be beneficial just to buy 3 great players and spend the leftover points on weak players (from strong teams though) who are likely not to be even fielded. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like that.
On a positive note I'm glad teams can't score as much as last season.

Bah, so me starting late and "starting on even ground" as someone says menas paying more for people I'd have chosen anyway and whose values have since gone up! >:O I also didn't realise All-Kill format kicked in so soon. How do seasons work these days? 2 weeks of First to 4 wins, 2 weeks of All-kill, cycling?

Anti Team 5 Dear 5 JYP 3 Zenio
well so I'm convinced that sOs will do very well since I have been kinda impressed with some of his matches (didn't manage to see that many though) and I think he has the potential to score even better than last round (where he did quite ok) orignially I didn't want to pick an EGTL player because taeja was overpriced imo and I think he is still going to earn a lot of points but then I saw Revival as a potential starting player for many matches and I'm quite sure that he will gather some wins before losing to the really big guns out there (if he manages to win his opening match) I picked classic because I needed a T and didn't have many points left over ^^ team 8 was so cheap that I thought " well they have a couple of good players and they reached a 3-4 score (same as liquideg) and are somehow soo much cheaper than egtl so I thought it would be a good decision to pick them as for hyvaa and roro ... I generally like the way roro plays and I really hope he is going to do well this round and hyvaa was just kinda random tbh I had some points left and thought well he's zerg so maaaaaybe he is going to do better than the t's and p's in the same price category (and no I'm not saying anything is imbalanced....)
for the anti team I always felt like JYP was incredibly overrated + he is on egtl so he is probably not going to get a lot of wins with jaedong, stephano, taeja and hero there... same for zenio but even easier well and I didn't really think all to much about dear I just saw his name on the list and was kinda inclined to pick him for some reason ^^

I believe there are two rounds that are all kill, the second round and the 5th if memory serves me right. All other rounds are normal SPL format.

ok so will give my team and reasons behind it:
DuckDiversPro
Main Team 9 Fantasy (captain) 1 Hyuk 5 JYP 3 Revival 6 Wooki 2 yeOngJae 4 [tlpd#teams##sc2-korean]SK Telecom T1[/tlpd]
Anti Team 4 hyvaa 5 Stork 4 Trap
I wanted to go with several players of a team, seemed to work last round, but with KT being very expensive i didnt get them, EGTL has yet to prove they have raliable ace against all races (altho thats a smaller issue this round cuz of allkill) so i went with SKT. Because they have by.Rain and Fanta they have two powerhouses that can be used as ace/closer and who both seem to be good at all matchups so they will be hard to snipe. Rain was too expensive imo so i took fanta as my captain. I was impressed with JYP last season, and for 5 points decided to pick him up and hope he keeps his performance up. At the very least he can be a good vP and vZ sniper, could prove valuable as both Taeja and Hero seem to have some issues now and again against top P and Z players. Wooki was another player that impressed me alot and he is on KT so even if he doesnt win every match, he will most likely still net me some points. Didnt have alot of points left so went with JyJ, Revival and Hyuk and hope they perform. Chose Revival because he's already being played first week. My anti-team was harder to pick this time around, last time hyvaa was worth it the first week, Trap and Stork are on weaker teams so i hope they wont wreck me too hard...

Team Das Wub Wub will fight valiantly on!

I just looked at all the players. And I still have to complain about the low numbers of 5/4 points players compared to the number of 3p players. I'll write a analysis of the players today as well as post the format I used to post my recaps so that everyone can use them.

Main Team 3 Bbyong 5 Crazy-Hydra 4 Jaehoon 3 Last 9 TaeJa (captain) 2 ThorZain 4 SK Telecom T1
Anti Team 3 Bisu 4 hyvaa 6 JangBi
Team:
Taeja is the cheapest of the good aces. It was either Taeja or Fantasy for captain and since Rain is likely to take a lot of wins, Fantasy's winning streaks may be much reduced. In EGTL only Taeja is consistent enough to go on streaks.
SK Telecom T1 for team because Rain doesn't lose, and Fantasy can pick off whoever is left. All that for 4 points :p
Bbyong is undervalued (he's a perfectly respectable Terran), Crazy-Hydra should be fine for 5 points. Jaehoon was a forced pick as I had to pick someone with 4 points, and Jaehoon seems to be one of the better players in T8. I have no idea why Last, OSL 4th place, is worth only 3 so there we go. Thorzain is a cheap player who has actually beat someone and is played reasonably often.
I did not pick a lot of starting players (only Last). Flash > Revival probably but I can't afford Flash. The other starting players aren't that good...
Antiteam:
Bisu, sorry you don't get SC2. really. hyvaa: Went 1-5 last round. Still worth 4. JangBi: you don't get SC2 either.
