Today compLexity Gaming is announcing that we are parting ways with our teammates and friends Kim "Ganzi" Dong Joo and Michael "Goswser" Dobler. For nearly a year Ganzi has been a cornerstone of our StarCraft 2 division with many competitive runs, most notably at MLG Arenas. Goswser was our first promotion from the compLexity Academy and has grown to become a top player in the North American scene.
"We made Ganzi a contract offer for 2013 but were unable to agree on terms." said Jason Lake, Founder and CEO. "Goswser is a true Academy success story that we are proud of. He has decided to train in Europe going forward and we are confident he will continue to grow as a player. Both of these young men are amazing players and people and we wish them both the very best in the future."
We'd like to thank Ganzi and Goswser for all their hard work and dedication during their time with us and wish them the best of luck with their futures and StarCraft 2 careers.
EDIT #1 since i cant update the title, sorry Goswser for misspelling your name

I'm not surprised about Ganzi because there was some speculation I think after he changed his twitter. Surprised to see Goswser leaving. Good luck finding new teams! Good luck in Europe, Goswser!
|
Interesting to see where they will go.
|
Same as shellshock. Unsurprised about Ganzi, definitely more shocked about Goswser.
Ganzi's stock I think has fallen since col picked him up originally, it will be interesting to see where he goes.
|
Goswers stock definately rose up today
|
wow goswser looks like top zerg atm, beating polt mma and genius recently.
|
Liquid.Ganzi
|
Ganzi has a lot of Wrist problems I could see it as a hard problem for him to get another Team,
Goswer just recently took first in his Iron Squid group maybe he will get on a Korean team.
|
Who is Goswer? Is he a Goswser fanboy?

shocked about gowser. was living in the coL house, coL is the team that really discovered him. Remember when he beat Polt at MLG while still on the academy team? Curious move he is making to go train in Europe. Seems like he has something lined up? best of luck.
|
Goswser coming to France (I predict ), that's gonna be great, he is turning into a beast at the moment
|
Didn't Ganzi say something on his twitter about how he missed Korea? I thought he said something about feeling lonely in the US too.
|
This is interesting, I wonder where both of them will end up. Goswser going to europe seems a bit odd, but perhaps Mouz or another EU team has something lined up. If he is going to the MoW then this is such a strange move... Ganzi is a great personality and I would love to see him get picked up my someone else, I thought he was a good fit complexity though.
|
I predict goswser in millenium's roster soon !
|
I really hope the best for these two guys.
Goswser going to Europe sort of puzzles me, I am really curious who has picked him up/is hosting him over there. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised to see him go to Korea or something with his recent performances. Very interested to see how this plays out for the two of these guys.
|
Training in Europe? Well thats only Millenium or NewRoSoft with teamhouses right (and MoW)
|
coL's roster is pretty much Heart, qxc and Sasquatch. Hopefully some big pickups incoming.
|
2 French predictions in this thread for Mill.Goswser. Could it be wishful thinking, or do they know something?
Anyways, good luck Ganzi and Goswser.

It is weird, because Ganzi's stream didn't have any more complexity signs, but he was still staying at the coL house until yesterday.
GL to both.

Still an improvement over Dragon.
Anyhow, goswser has plenty of potential. I just wish he would change his ID to something more manageable.

He will join Millenium, Otolia already said it yesterday, so the french community obviously knows it already.

Best of wishes to Goswser in Millenium.
He's a really kool dood in person once you get to know him.
Also, I'm thinking GanZi left because he wasn't too happy with his recent results. He might rejoin a Korean team, perhaps?
|
So Mill.Goswser and Axiom.GanZi? Or Liquid.GanZi for Proleague?
And let's see how coL will refill their ranks...
|
Kinda suprised about goswser but i guess Millenium would be perfect for him!
|
good luck to both of you nerds
|
I forget whether ganzi has done his military service yet. Perhaps that could be why he left? I remember when he and taeja left slayers, one of them was talking about joining a foreign team for a little bit, then going to do their military service.
|
not much choice of teams who have team houses in Europe, unless he goes to MoW: Millenium (house in Marseille) Alien Invasion (house in Germany) ESC Gaming (house in Germany) Fnatic (office in London) SK Gaming (office in Germany) Alternate (office in Germany, i think)
|
Complexity could be the next team disbanding, after Quantic.
|
I like how Complexity can offer positive talk to both players and wish them great luck without a single negative comment, even though it seemed like Ganzi and Complexity probably argued over financial issues. I'm probably wrong but nonetheless, great to see from a very professional team. :DDD

hope not, their LoL team is top 2 in the world now, players that arent better than Oz or aLive (GanZi and gowser clearly arent) would keep the team mediocre as it is. just wish fnatic would get back on the top of foreign teams and recruit some real huge names :/

Technically I predicted it last month here.
The whole story was, during a showmatch between ForGG and Symbol (7/11), Llewellys announced that the new zerg wasn't neither from EU nor Korean. So we were left with a few possibilities among hailing from NA which goswser and ostojiy were the only reasonable choice : ViBE wasn't going to leave ROOT, IdrA won't ever leave EG, scarlett likes Nerchio and acer whereas Suppy and Fitzyhere were still relative unknown.
Yesterday, goswser was announced to be at the Millenium house next weekend (during a MillTV stream) and Thud from Ponf&Thud also disclosed that goswser who won his Iron Squid group was signing with a big team (relative since coL is also a big team ^^)
All in all, we were just waiting coL to announce the release of goswser as Llewellys isn't a person who poach players.

Nice words, but the fact is, they are both unsuccesful and their players are not that popular, even with the best business model this ship can only sink.. I called it when Quantic died, because both teams are quite similar and struggle to win anything.

No! Watch last StarCast with Jason Lake. He said its the time of changes, because contracts run out. Complexity is after some "Ex-Quantic" and Teamless-Korean Players. So don't panic, you can keep 50% of NA ProTeams. :D

Pretty bold move by ganzi given how many really talented teamless korean there are atm, hope he finds a new home soon.
|
French people who follow the Millenium TV already knew Goswser was going to do great results in his Ironsquid group.
I remember Llewellys (Millenium manager) saying that twitch ads were earning 3x as much when the viewer was American compared to French or European so it makes sense to have more American fans. And there are much more tournaments in Europe so that's good for Goswser.
I think Goswser will cast the Numericable cup along with Tod, but after beating MMA and Genius I think he can do well against MKP, Stephano and MC too.

With Ghanzi and Goswer Complexity loose there best player and there best American. GL to them to recover from it because they were already doing pretty bad. GL to Goswer with Millenium (in France it is "anouced" by the community since like a month). If he keeps training in EU instead of NA he can only get better and he is still very young.

I hope he doesn't think he can just " switch to LoL " and instantly get a spot on a good professional team, it doesn't work like that. Every sc2 pro that has " switched " to LoL has done nothing in the LoL scene at all. There's only one league in Korea and all the spots are taken by established teams who don't often change their rosters. It's just as hard to break into as sc2, if not harder.

Indeed it's naive. LoL's bigger prizes are split 5 ways which make that usually worse or about the same after the clever dividing maths is done. It's also easier so it's very hard to be noteworthy in a sea of people around the skill cap. That in turn means skill doesn't translate to wins.
Smart ones know it's not a good move. Switching to LoL seems to be a standard joke amonst the korean SC2 players. Check out Nestea thowing it out in Legend of the Swarm.

Isn't it a bit "over defensive"? like would you have posted something like this with someone on another team? I should return your question s it even possible to talk about M without you getting very defensive over it ? (when it's actually pretty on topic ) Obviously you got angry when I joked about last year's situation, but I don't blame you, that's what fanboys do. have a wonderful day

Gl to them, hope they find new teams soon. I wonder if this means col has some money to play with.

Because they need a Zerg, Millennium is losing players left and right, and goswser is a good mid-tier player and Millennium is a mid-tier team? Plus the fact that goswser wants to travel to Europe? It's a pretty good fit; I could see it happening.
Good luck to goswser and Ganzi!

Dejà vu, but can't refuse the good'ol classics
Hahahaha wasn't that reversed though, when Stephano tried leaving Millennium for Complexity and couldn't because he was legally bound to Millennium?

gl to goswser, I hope he finds a new team soon enough

GanZi @GanZi1987 who is want with me playing lol ?! the first play lol probably...soon i'm switch lol...
The difference is, with SC2 you can play alone.
If I really wanted to, I could play starcraft 12 hours a day and still not have to worry about money since I'm a company director. But not everyone can afford the living costs when being a progamer means you can't work. See where I am going with this?
LoL is a team game that requires all players to play together, whereas anyone who gets good at sc2 can enter the tournaments and work their way up alone through the open brackets etc.

Millenium is a good team, gl goswser !
|
What if we could see Axiom Ganzi?
|
EG.GOSWSER EG.GANZI
..EG.EVERYWHERE
|
compLexity is becoming a weak team without GanZi and Goswser, especially without GanZi.
|
Would be great if EG picked up Ganzi since their terran line up is poor. Ganzi speaks nice English, so good marketing potential there!

It would really be the ex-SlayerS team. The semi A-team as well.
Ryung, Miya, Crank, Ganzi lol.

my god, it's sad how everyone always forgets about Heart :/

Wondering if any of them will end up joining up with the rumoured new team. Would not be surprised if Ganzi got picked up by them, or a team like Axiom because he's a pretty good player.

Col seems pretty irrelevant. They don't win anything at all, I'm kind of concerned about their long term longevity

I assume you didn't see almost all of coL's members get close to champ bracket at MLG...? Even Fuzzy an academy member was what, 1 or 2 rounds off? Yeah, pretty irrelevant.
Just because you don't see people's games casted doesn't mean they aren't some of the best NA players. You should pay attention! :D

Best bet is he will go to Ax since they're all about picking up korean bosses

Noooo now the CoL FFAs will be less fun to watch.

I hope we see LiquidGanzi for sure!

Why should a random NA player join Millenium? Millenium/Llewellys has a good eye for talent. If they want him, it's because they see something in him. And he has gotten pretty good results recently, it makes some sense. He will join Millenium, Otolia already said it yesterday, so the french community obviously knows it already.
Mill also has an eye for relatively bm players. Adelscott, Lalush... goswser fits well. Haha ; )

Good luck to both of them!
