We came to the conclusion that it would make sense for him to take a particular offer that was better than ours and gave him a chance to rock it on another team, so Genna tried to give him a little bit of assistance navigating the offers that were coming in and choosing the one that would be best for him.

From my point of view as a sponsor, taking on someone as prominent as MMA who can demand a salary to match his fearsome reputation and legacy seemed a little too much too soon. I'm talking with many sponsors at the moment to supplement our income, help balance our books and expand our current team-house which is now at capacity and not ideal for our purposes yet.

When Ryung destroys MKP, I have a feeling a few more sponsors will pay attention

As Genna pointed out however, players are independent contractors and under US law, you cannot micromanage an independent contractor. The only thing you can do is replace them with a different independent contractor if their work is not satisfactory. As a result and the obvious fact that we don't have the necessary game knowledge to assist with their practice, we leave it entirely up to the players. CranK already has experience in this because he ended up in an unofficial coaching role within SlayerS. The players know best as to what they need to practice and how long they should be practicing. We hope that our attitude towards the players and being available to them for any query whenever they need will encourage a desire to work hard for the team. That's the cornerstone of a successful team, igniting a desire to win for themselves and for the team and that willingness to practice really hard to make that happen. So far it's working out pretty well.
