The people on here saying he shouldn't be punished are stupid hes a public figure and in public you can't make those kinds of jokes. On the other hand I do know plenty of friends that make jokes about each others sisters who are in some case 13-16. It is frankly baffling how many people here are naive and childlike. At the end of the day, EG has to look out for itself and its sponsors. They had no other choice - in no other business would an employee get away with saying something like that in the public eye. They just wouldn't. Starcraft shouldn't be any different if we want it to be taken at all seriously.

I disagree completely that it is "clear it wasn't a joke". The fact that he said anything, the fact that he did so over Bnet, the fact that he checked if BlinG was streaming after speaking, BlinG's initial reaction of laughter and Stephano's language all indicate to me that he was attempting to humourously shock BlinG.
This kind of humour is very common amongst guys that age. Maybe if we substitute the word "prank", "practical joke" or "troll" it will make more sense?

In common french ( meaning slang use ) the word "abuser" is used in a lot of situations.
The general use now is for saying "going to far" not the puritan english word meaing ( ie abusing sexually someone ).
You can say to a friend "t'abuses" meaning "you're annoying".
Anyway not gonna go into linguistic explanations cause I'm not a linguist myself but i can totally understand the "misuse" of abused from stephano simply meaning that he might have destroyed some kid onthe ladder who surely complained to him afterwards and saying that he was only 14.
Then Stephano used that to make a joke about it with his close english friends and to make some kind of word play...
