1. for some its funny for some not but still its a joke 2. if its not a joke its legal with 14 years in france so still no problem 3. the employer of stephano is AMERICAN and usa is know for being prude, perhaps more prude then some arabic states
and 3 is the problem, if you know you have a prude employer you CANT write things like this without consequences. sure stephano didnt think about that because we here in europe normaly think a more "free" way then americans ...

Thank you EG for continuing to introduce standards of professionalism into the non-korean scene

lol at you "intelligent funny" guys claiming you joke about raping underaged girls
this is one of the reasons I wish there would be no more anonymity on the internet because would you dare to post the same things you just did if your name, location and face would be next to it?

I understand people have different sensitivities, but if you don't like that kind of humor, that is not the rest of the world's problem. I compare it with the guy tweeting about blowing up the airport in UK. He got into some nasty troubles for that one. I guess Stephano can in theory appeal...... The tweet was that the person was going to "destroy America" (i.e., party) and about "digging up Marilyn Monroe" (Family Guy). And as it happens, that was a model example of the inefficacy of the Homeland Security Agency. He spent some time in a cell and they were refused entrance to the country. Now, I don't personally think Family Guy is all that funny, but that didn't strike me as a proportionate response to referencing a TV show. So you can see why it's not necessary for Stephano to have you in stitches to defend him for saying random shit on battle.net. No, I was talking about another tweet. Sorry, I guess I was just mesmerized by all the source material you posted. I assume you're talking about Paul Chambers who made a joke during some inclement weather, and whose conviction was overturned on appeal? What was your point again? Yes, it was eventually overturned, but he still got into trouble. I don't think the court reimbursed him for the lost time. Stephano can appeal here too, no?

There's a reason why professionals don't make crude jokes regardless of sport or creed because it will come back to bite them. It's not bloody freedom of speech don't bring up that issue. You are free to say what ever you want, but others are also free to denounce your statement, challenge factual evidence, and refute your view point via the same freedom. In the company / social hierarchy you are also subject to rules of conduct and professional codes. Stephano has a right to say what ever he bloody wants to, doesn't change the fact that a) what he said isn't even a joke. b) EG has all the rights to penalize / award Stephano under their own contractual terms since Stephano is a hired employee on salary.
Esports isn't professional enough where there's a system of appeals that you can follow which is a problem in itself, else Stephano can just appeal to the appropriate departments or organizations regarding mistreatment / bridge of contract terms / lack of rules of conduct set in ink, or argue statues of limitations etc etc etc. But that's between Stephano and EG, our opinions are irrelevant.

Also, Millenium is a small-time team that pays players peanuts and has nothing to lose or gain by caring about public opinion.
It's easy to pretend you don't care what other people think when no one gives a shit what you do or think.

yeah right, cowards no i wouldnt because im only joking like that with my friends because i do understand that not everyone likes those kind of jokes and may find them offensive. edit : im sorry that you cant laugh about these jokes. laughing is good if no1 gets hurt =)

Why do people call it a public forum when Stephano whispers his friend on bnet? He obviously thought it was only Bling who would see the chat, so he was not being "offensive on a public forum". Bad luck for him, that he was caught joking with a friend, now eg has to punish him and that's ok but if people now think any worse of Stephano I really don't get it.

A poor joke made on a video game chat, big deal in NA it seems.

Raping 14 year olds is legal in France? Sounds new to me.
Please stop that ridiculous "America-So-Prude" gibberish. EG is just a professional organization with serious sponsors. That's the only reason they sanctioned Stephano.

yeah right, cowards Yes, we really joke about things. I don't "post" them, I tell them to my living, breathing friends, with my name, location, and face right there. It's not a big deal no matter what the medium is. That's why they're jokes.

You know nothing about Millenium. Its not a small time team they got the biggest esport site in Frence and got more money then most teams in the scene. They just wouldn't care about the latest drama like any intelligent person should unless of course you a woman that loves soap opera

if you want to have good sponsors, some things will be changing. one of them is that immature kids cant act like immature kids.
