Assuming of course that it was just a joke and not a statement of fact, in which case they did not go anywhere near far enough in punishing him. Honestly this was worse than what orb did, but stephano is hugely popularr, so they will be very careful of how they tread here, as kicking stephano from the team, not matter how justified in their and their sponsors eyes, is going to generate massive backlash. That being said, good on you EG. | ||

Shocking statement -> people don't take it seriously -> continue the act -> audience shocked -> got ya! Only the fact that it wasn't private kinda broke that down. If you genuinely haven't come across examples of this type of humour ("humour") it would certainly seem pretty suspect, but its pretty common. | ||

That is an uncontrollable, involuntary reaction, and people have every right to confront you for that, whether it's because they themselves are triggered by it, or because they know someone else who gets triggered by it, or simply because they know it encourages bullying. Your intention essentially means nothing once the harm is done. Your argument boils down to the following: "I don't get offended if someone insults me. Therefore, nobody else should! Furthermore, my right to free speech & the inconvenience of having to choose a different word or having to say nothing at all >>> the pain and/or significant discomfort of others." | ||

And i dont blame em. After i got flooded with emails, I would pull sponsorship immediately, or at least gaurentee not to renew it depending on the contract. not worth the risk. This just in, for all the "This is what esports needs... were still where we are because we dont act professional!" you are fucking insane and ignorant. If your scene is boring and uninteresting, noone will watch. The problem already with SC2 is the majority cant relate because they dont play. And if you make all players afraid to be original or entertaining, then people who at least care about people, will not have any interest in it either. Maybe instead of focusing on being robots, we should focus on making the game better, and making our scene more inviting, more exciting, and something appealing to the masses. Cause you are working backwards. | ||
