Some people like rape and some people dislike rape. Esports in general likes rape a lot and I'm glad EG is taking a contrary position. Also what is this fearmongering bullshit, are you serious? I'm sure you're trembling in your boots, you might get suspended from your esports team for making a rape joke. Heaven forbid. It's sad that so many people have no clue what freedom of speech is. He's not being censored. He can continue to make rape jokes. EG isn't even going to stop him! In fact most rape apologists HATE freedom of speech because they want EG prevented from making decisions with their own money and want to squelch people's displeasure with off color jokes. I don't want anyone censoring Stephano because I'd rather know that he's a colossal shitlord. | ||

It takes no effort not to read the fucking newspaper, that doesn't mean if people are offended by you reading the newspaper, you should give it up. That's not an argument. The problem with your analogy is, when you phone in a bomb threat you KNOW you're making a report. In Stephano's case it could be A) a joke or B) a confession. Now, if he said it in public it was probably B. However, he said it in what he perceived to be a private convo with BlinG, who as he predicted, had the initial reaction of laughing to it. How could Stephano intend to "play us like fools" without knowing that other people would ever catch wind of it? | ||

Stephano made a really stupid statement not clearly noticable if its funny, trolling or even real. And making such a statement is manythings but professional. You all are crying for respectation and acceptance of e-sports/competitive gaming but in order to get that there has to be a certain lvl of proffesionalism. And in my Eyes EG did it just right. | ||

So much drama and QQ in this thread. Sure it's inappropriate to joke about 'rape' but so are most jokes between friends. (it was not meant for public to see) If you disagree, tell me that all your comments be it on the internet or irl are always appropriate and double checked for political correctness. And if they shouldn't be only once, be glad we have a whole sub-community armed with pitchforks who will gladly point out your 'misbehavior'.
