I think Stephano can get past the RO32 pretty easily and RO16 if he gets an easy group. But RO8 onwards is where the real challenge begins. This is where your opponent gets a good week to study you. The bottom line is, Stephanos success will almost solely depend on what group he gets. If he gets a similar group to what Mana got this season (MVP, Taeja, MMA), he has no chance. However if he gets a group like Jyp, Parting, Hero, he will come out first pretty easily. But again, this kind of luck can only carry someone as far as the RO8.

Well, at least this makes me a happy camper since Stepano streaming in Korean timezone is much better for me than Stephano streaming in NA timezone. So I'm looking forward to some Korean ladder.

Maybe EG should just establish a permanent house in Korea and send Incontrol there as well to better suit my stream viewing experience.

Stephano's weakness is zvz. I don't think he would have trouble with an all terran group assuming he's been practicing, which he hadn't been when he faced Taeja last. It makes sense for Life to select Stephano since Stephano's zvz is not that good at the moment. LIfe might also pick Heart if he's available. I can't see any Terran or Protoss players selecting Stephano however.

Didn't Hero have like two/three weeks to prepare for Stephano in NASL? and guess what, he got rolled over...And i remember PartinG saying something like he'll show Stephano the power of training, only to get stomped even easier...
Don't forget that Stephano is the most studied player and as Violet said in his interview, koreans zergs adopt his style, so he's dissected by a lot of players, that doesn't stop Stephano from beating the majority of them.

I don't think Naniwa will ever get back to GSL code S, in order to qualify, there is a huge probability that he'll have to face a zerg at some point, which means inta-elim...He could only make ro8 because he didn't have to face zergs and because it was on group format.

The only thing I'm really kind of worried about is the traditional "foreigner curse" where they simply cannot play at ther normal skill level in GSL. So even if person x had played against person y and z before and won those games he simply would not be able to win against the same players in live GSL venue for whatever reasons.

But at the same time I really feel that if anyone can be "above" that kind of curse by their sheer attitude and nerves it would be Stephano.
