Mvp is really a nice guy, He is so humble and doesnt even make excuses for his losses. If that were any other player, They will keep pestering that they are losing because of their sicknes. But MVP is different! And one thing, Please get treatment soon!

This is scary to me. I'd rather him heal now and work his way back up than play in severe pain. Suck at everything and then go and heal. Not sure why he feels like he wont be able to catch up.

I can understand how he feels, wanting to play through serious injury in order to win now, especially considering the brevity of a progaming career. Mvp will always be my favorite player, not because of his titles but because of his attitude and intelligent play.

I think he should rest and even get whatever medical treatment he needs for his neck. It sounds pretty bad when he can feel near paralysis at certain areas of his body. With HOTS beta in progress, it will be some months before the game comes out and a new meta game will arrive. IMO he really should rest up and come back when HOTS is in full swing next year.

Someone really needs to grab MVP, slap him upside the head and say to him, "You are the MVP! Winner of 4 GSLs, one of which was done with a dysfunctional fucking SPINE! Get the surgery, come back and own Flash in the GSL finals, elephants be damned! You have what it takes!"
He's done the impossible so many times, he can't just let himself deteriorate like this. If he doesn't fix his neck, he'll lose everything. His career, his wealth, his health. Everything.
Besides, the biggest reset in SC2 history is coming out soon. What better time to take a break and get back in shape?

Mvp you are an amazing person. Your fans have never thought that it was an excuse that you are in a terrible condition. I wish we could help, but I don't know what to do.

MVP is just such a great guy in and out. Truly admirable how he wanted to buy a house for his family. I mean his play is one amazing thing, and his character is equally impressive. If he does take time off to heal (which it sounds like he should) i hope he comes out better than ever.

All my respect for MVP. In BW, I liked his games because he rarely cheesed. It made him predictable, but when he was on, he was ON. Even Flash fell to that (in one game of course).

Now I have even more respect, because he pushed onward and was able to achieve his dream of buying his family a house. How many of us can say that? How many of us can say that our happiest memory was buying a house for our family? For an awesome dad?

Utter respect. I hope he can somehow find time to have surgery. The more he puts it off, the harder it'll be. Maybe if he falls to Code A he should stop for a bit.

He really should take a break, i mean i cant imagine MVP not being able to catch up after 3 months considering how much dedication he has, and also ESPECIALLY since HOTS is coming. He might not be able to dominate WoL after 3 months, but i would be so surprised if he wouldnt do well in HOTS.

A lot of people are mentioning how Mvp should take the time off right now to recover instead of later because of things like HotS, fewer tournaments around the end of a year, etc. Some people are comparing his situation to Flash's.

The thing is that Mvp does not have the same injury that Flash did. We don't know exactly what surgery he would intend on having, how that surgery would go, or how long the recovery period would be.

We also aren't considered one of the greatest SC2 players seen. He probably knows how time off would affect him more than any of us do.
