thanks for the translation! Poor MVP, hope he gets the surgery but I can understand why he is so hesitant about it as well. Such a hard situation for him

He can. He needs to win this GSL and crush the elephant along the way, solidify his status as the best player ever to play SC2, go get his surgery and while he is recovering, help coach IM.

That'll keep him in touch with the metagame and then we can see the King return in full form.

It's crazy to think how good MVP would be if he didn't have these health issues. It's even crazier to consider he spent a couple of months being crap because he got a girlfriend. He'd have 6 titles if not for these issues ^^

I don't understand how 3 months is such a big deal, especially for such a severe health condition. Professional athletes miss entire seasons due to injury, yet are able to compete again. MVP can still mostly keep up with the metagame even while he's not playing. His mechanics will suffer, but after a few weeks of practice he could be back in form. There is absolutely no reason to take such a big health risk, especially if he is in great pain and unhappiness already. MVP needs to take time off and get whatever surgeries and/or physical therapy is necessary.
