(in areas that are not intrinsically about looks...) hating the superficialness of todays world doesnt equate being an angry loser! It kind of does, actually, since it makes you appear spiteful, jealous, and petty.

Guess I am going to watch her first stream to see whether she is interested in Starcraft itself (and knows quite a bit about it) or only wants the attention/gamer girl association***/money. Hosts/Interviewer don't need to know everything about Starcraft but I feel like they should atleast care about the game or Esport. I fear there might be a new person in the community I will have to ignore. * I tried to use if3; Can I use if2 on something which happened in the past? ** Was the grammar correct? *** Is there an English word for the German usage of "Image" ~ How people think and feel about something or someone.

the reason various entertainers who take a shot at mainstream acceptance and then fail ( Jared Cale , Lindsey Sporrer ) is that they are just using the SC2 community as a stepping stone in their career. The textbook example of a broadcaster pulling this off to perfection is "Gentleman" Jeff Marek when he went from "Pro Wrestling Radio Host" to "Hockey Night In Canada Anchorman". For Lindsey she merely sees "the SC2 Community" as a "means to a greater end". and that "end" does not include being a Hostess at the BNet World Championships in China.

She seems to really like the community which is odd since she doesn't know too well about "zvg" and "egames"

A lot of people in life need stepping stones, and believe me Lindsay Sporrer probably can go to thousands of other places to do something like that. Why is it hard for people to believe she just wants to learn the game?

Idra dedicates his life to SC2, whether he likes the game or not. It's the only skill the guy has. He hasn't gone to school, he hasn't had another job. There's a level of dedication, whether he's doing it for money or love of the game or whatever, that many of these new esports guys don't have. Love for the community, dedication to esports and the game.

Its always good when the community is increased, especially when its a potential caster/interviewer but lets be honest, if she puts the lack luster effort that she had in NASL then she doesnt deserve to be in the spotlight for long. Best of luck to her though
