Well 8000USD a month is pretty damn good. Some guys in bigger companies earn a bit more than him and for sure produce more value.

Gl Stephano. Good deal for ya

Why make another thread for this? Can't we just use the old one?

Ok since this bugged me a bit I decided to put in my 2-bits. The average US home brings in roughly $64k a year and that is by the standard of two people working 40+ hours a week living in the same household. Now according to the post Stephano is going to be making almost $100k a year for working 25-35 hours a week. That is not including any tournaments or other activities that he does outside all this to add to his yearly earnings. So by US standards that is what any person should call one hell of a payday, especially if you throw in the fact that he is making this much money playing a game. That fact alone would shock and impress most Americans.

If you take into account that he doesn't have any expensed, at least during the time he lives in the EG house, its pretty good.

Now EG gotta step up and start a EG-teamhouse in Korea. Otherwise it will be wasted talend and money.

Congrats to stephano. But does anyone know how much longer he is playing for? I remember he was intending to quit after a year, and then extended it for a bit.

EG money is in the west, not east. EG house in Korea isn't needed from the their business point

Dedicate time and money to develop your own players? Naaah that's not the EG way.

100k a year, how does EG earn that money back? Are the sponsors really paying that much money to have their drink or logo show up once in a while on streams with 30k viewers?

Anyways, it's kind of disheartening, I work 30 hours a week hard as hell and Stephano almost makes as much as I do playing videogames :/

What? You only work 6 hours a day and you earn nearly 8k per month? Yeah right...

I'm the CEO of a software development company. I spend about 4-5 hours a day writing and fixing code, 2 hours assisting with support tickets. My salary is pretty low for the average company owner in this sector ($130k)

I work from home too ;-)

And maybe consider that stephano is one out of hundreds who earns that much.
If you are the one out of thousands who delevops a video sharing plattform or a badass social network, I bet you would earn more.
It should rather motivate youi than be disheartening

96,000 a year?

Seems pretty measly to me, for a person who apparently is in the game to make money.

100K a year is meh? I guess you will be pretty disappointed if you finally hit the reality of the job market

EG getting hella scary!
If Thorzain can get into his best form again, and Stephano manages to help Idra get a little better, they'll be fucking awesome.

Too bad i don't really like EG that much I love Thorzaine and Stephano though...
Crisis incoming

You don't know the contract.
Prize money can easly all go to EG with such a salary.
