Adding to that, a big part of the community is calling for professionalism all around, and it is needed to secure sponsorships and money, both of which is necessary to keep the scene alive by being able to help players solely play SC2 for a living. Had this simply been a private conversation that never got out, of course no one would have cared. However when it gets out like this, it's bad all around. Pretty sure no one left this situation looking good. If ROOT wants to be able to compete and sustain their players financially they need sponsors, and sponsors don't like it when shit like this comes up related to a company or team they support. Once this stuff gets out, ROOT either has to cut ties with Destiny, or say goodbye to a lot of potential investors. A lot of people think that ROOT made a good decision, and I'm sure many disagree. Fan or not, Destiny fucked up badly here and he got burnt. | ||

In a way I see where he is coming from. Destiny acts as though the world is not fit for him, we are all sleeping in the matrix and that he is the only one awake. But when it comes down to it, racial slurs are not OK and treating a girl with disrespect is plain wrong. Frankly I'm happy, because I want our scene to grow and Destiny and his incidents were black eyes to the budding SC 2 professional world. Sadly having him on a major team "looks" as if our community endorses his behavior which we shouldn't and don't. But GL Destiny in your future pursuits, you may not belong on a major team but your stream fans will never leave you so thats a plus. | ||
