Swedes can't have an unbiased opinion of one of their top players. Would you not defend someone leading the way for your country?

Come on, now you are being a bit unreasonable/silly. Sweden's sc2 community is much smaller and more tightly knit than the big markets like America and Korea. If some1 from your state, county, region is a top level player you wouldn't have an unbiased opinion.

naniwa's bm is basically harmless. he never really makes personal attacks. his bm is always directed at balance, tournament organizers, and so on. idra, on the other hand, routinely calls people 'fucking faggots' and he's loved for it.
for the record i don't really care about either. i respect naniwa because he is good though.

I always get a bit confused when people talk like that, as if Naniwa is someone who is routinely bad mannered and caused trouble wherever he goes, because, well, he isn't, and he hasn't. If you look at the incidents he's had, most of them are fairly harmless and not nearly as frequent as some people seem to believe. I'm not blind, I'm perfectly aware Naniwa does stupid crap every now and then (thumbing down Nestea, probe rushing, etc), and critisizing him for that is reasonable, but with the amount of flak he's getting you'd think he's done something far worse.

"Usually when people say these words, they don’t mean it, but I believe I’m known as a guy who’s 'no bulls***.' I’m very grateful for the time I had in Quantic, but I felt that I wanted to value my own happiness above not doing anything about it, so I decided to try my luck in other places. Quantic kept everything they promised me and me to them. I sincerely wish them the best!" And yet in the real talk episode he says some promises were not kept Why do I feel like half of this thread is the standard anti-fans trying to stir things up in the least controversial topic ever.. ^^ And why do I feel like the other half is from fanboys rushing to the rescue when no rescue is needed? -___- Swedes can't have an unbiased opinion of one of their top players. Would you not defend someone leading the way for your country? Could an American have an unbiased opinion for one of their top players? More likely than a Swede tbh. The most patriotic country imo, yet they all claim they are the least patriotic. Hey! Only in sports!
Nah personally I see it more of concerning politics and status.
