If it's anything beside joining Startale it would be kind of surprising.

LOL
If he is going to try for a Korean team which is like his only option i think as he doesn't seem to want to leave Korea, he wont get the $$ he wants from them surely...and he been on every other foreign team apart from TL and EG and i hardly doubt they want him xD
Silly move IMO. He surely knows best though so glgl

So, seriously, which teams are left for Naniwa? Since the start of SC2 he has been part of:
  • Serious Gaming
  • MyM
  • Power Gaming
  • Team Empire
  • Dignitas
  • compLexity
  • Quantic Gaming

I'd say EG and Team Liquid are out, and so are the Korean teams. The smaller ones are out, too, cause he's too good (and too expensive) for that. So who's left to take him?

"Rumor : Naniwa leaves Quantic

According to reliable sources Naniwa will be leaving Quantic Gaming.

Today Rakaka got information about the swedish Code S player Johan "Naniwa" Lucceshi that he will leave Quantic. The definite reason to why he's leaving is unclear but according to Rakaka's sources, the team has had trouble sending them abroad. As an example, ASUS helped them to get to Dreamhack Open in Stockholm earlier this year.

During WCS Nordic Rakaka noticed that Naniwa and Sase didn't hang out together as much as they did at the previous Dreamhack, and according to Rakaka's sources, the players had a quarrel. The reason for the quarrel is unclear, and it's also unclear if it was a contributing factor to Naniwa leaving the team.

Any way, Naniwa has already gotten several offers from big teams, but we don't know which the teams are at the moment."

Did a translaton of Naniwa leaving Quantic since the article had been posted but not translated. (Not a native speaker so don't be too harsh on my grammar etc)

Wonder what team he will go to :o

Source: Rakaka

This was posted in the NaNiwa fanclub.

What happened to sticking to the team that supported him through the bad times?

Naniwa is way to unprofessional for liquid, eg or fnatic.

I don't think teams like to pickup team hopping players like Naniwa or Major, but at the end of the day they will be picked up because they are talented. Also, look at when Quantic picked Naniwa to Quantic now. They are now an established team that doesn't need a big name to continue it's success.

Foreigner attitude.

Well he's been working on his attitude (rather than his game).

Fnatic or SK-Gaming comes to mind.

Retiring would be my guess based on his recent mentality. Shame if so but if you stop enjoying the game, its difficult to justify devoting important years of your life to it. Not just about PvZ, but rather the uncertainty and stress of progaming in general.

Liquid'Nani! Liquid could use a solid protoss apart from Hero.

I think naniwa could win 10 GSLs and liquid would still not want him. He just does not fit the team spirit at all.

Exactly this. TeamLiquid is more then just pure results, you have to have the right kind of personality. Which is why I love them :D and Naniwa would never fit properly. I don't see Liquid paying for him.

So he bombs out of TSL and the Nordic WCS and asks to drop from his team? This is fishy.

ROGNaniwa maybe? If ASUS helped him to get to dreamhack.

Maybe this problems and leaving the team is connected to his reasent slump. Leaving Quantic definitly is a bad decision.
And I agree with kruxey Quantic was the perfect team for him, they also try to develop their players personality wise.

Which leaves only one team. SK.

No seriously, for what reason would you conduct this NaNiwa?

His career depends on having a good team house and players to practice with, don't think he would leave Korea. Probably would joint a team that ispartnered with a Korean team such as EG or Millinium.

Millenium (with stephano soon leaving), Mouz, Fnatic, Empire, Dignitas. These are the teams I could see him go to.
