The only reason I can think of right now, a team would let a player out of a contract is if they didn't want him or benefit from him as much as they were investing into the player.

Today Rakaka got information about the swedish Code S player Johan "Naniwa" Lucceshi that he will leave Quantic. The definite reason to why he's leaving is unclear but according to Rakaka's sources, the team has had trouble sending them abroad. As an example, ASUS helped them to get to Dreamhack Open in Stockholm earlier this year. During WCS Nordic Rakaka noticed that Naniwa and Sase didn't hang out together as much as they did at the previous Dreamhack, and according to Rakaka's sources, the players had a quarrel. The reason for the quarrel is unclear, and it's also unclear if it was a contributing factor to Naniwa leaving the team. Any way, Naniwa has already gotten several offers from big teams, but we don't know which the teams are at the moment." Did a translaton of Naniwa leaving Quantic since the article had been posted but not translated. (Not a native speaker so don't be too harsh on my grammar etc) Wonder what team he will go to :o Source: Rakaka This was posted in the NaNiwa fanclub.

It doesn't sound like Quantic did much of anything to try to keep their star player, though. Think about when TSL has players who want to leave or when other teams lose their star players, at the very least they claim that they try to convince the player that they should not leave. It really does not seem like Quantic put up much of a fight, probably because IdrA was right.

Would love to see him join a Korean team like TSL or Startale. He would also require a fairly large salary. How many times has someone who had a salary joined a new team for less or no money?

Highly doubt TSL will be allowed to by their sponsor considering their sponsor didn't want MajOr joining them who is much closer to all the players on the team.

Would love to see him join a Korean team like TSL or Startale. Seeing Naniwa in TSL would shock me in a good way, because TSL is really lacking in consistently strong Protosses. Either way, looking like Naniwa is sticking with foreign teams for now, but I'm not sure which foreign teams with strong ties to Korea haven't already accepted Naniwa except EG and Liquid, both who don't look too accepting of new players currently.
