I assume he'll be going to Startale or another team that can promise him GSL-participation.
As others, I'm also quite surprised at these news, since Quantic seemed like a good fit. Will be interesting to see where he ends up next. To anyone who doesn't understand, the people posting about the ICA thing are trying to be clever by trolling in another thread.

Really curious what this means for his further plans... Is there a western team that he hasn't alienated yet and is there a korean team that wasn't throwing shit at him after the probe rush vs NesTea?
I like Naniwa a lot, but at this point it might be best if he decides to "quit progaming and pursue an academic education".
On the other hand... EG.Naniwa[RC]

i think it may be possible he does quit pro-gaming for school. no offence to johnnyreco but when u train in korea with the best pro-gamers and make ro8 gsl, you don't expect to lose so easily to some ladder player from europe. it is the equivalent of a korean pro-gamer losing to a random foreigner in broodwar, at least it should be. probably very disheartening to be a sc2 pro-gamer compared to broodwar.

Make it happen please! HAHAHA, NaNi could be the last player on the planet and Liquid wouldn't pick him up.
Yeah i don't think it will happen but as long as NaNiwa hasn't announced his new team i can still dream ... it's my favourite team and my favourite player so I would be extremely happy

Sad to hear this, I thought he had finally found a "home" with Quantic. Seems I was wrong. But I guess he knows what he's doing, and I wish him all the best with that. I like Nani a lot, can't wait to find out where he's going next.

Thought Sase and Nani were siamese almost though, so surprised Sase is staying,

Hah, did not expect this. It does not look like Quantic actually wanted him to leave...So I don't know, he must have had reasons, but I do think it would have been better if he had fulfilled his obligations towards Quantic. They did put their neck out for him and as far as I can tell they are one of those teams that protect their players. Not much information to go on either, does anybody know if he will continue competing in GSL?
*also think that TL could use a new policy, pure player hating, insta-ban, would surely save me some crap to read through, and flushing out some of the shit would also make this a nicer place . With that I don't mean posters being critical, but just posting that you hate the guy, or that he should shoot himself. I really don't need to read that shit, keep your negativity on your side of the keyboard.

I totally agree, NaNiwa is getting an unreasonable amount of hatred everytime he is in the spotlight.

Naniwa losing to zergs is nothing new though. His win rate is what, 40% vs zerg? It is his problem, not a race problem ( oh and he said himself in an interview maybe a month or two ago that he does not understand the match up that well).

Maybe because he get in the spotlight for the wrong reason. You get a little less hate when you actually win tournament.

I don't think these new kids understand that you don't just join a Kespa team.

ROG seems like the most obvious pick
