SK is very prestigious and may just be entering the scene more humbly with one top player than making an entire roster, I don't think that's a fair statement to say really. Violet has been consistent code S and has been assimilating to the US (for lack of a better term) very well. Perhaps he'd like to represent a western interest more than Korean? we'll see.

SK has had two sc2 rosters already before MC, they got rid of both, would'nt really call that entering the scene humbly.

Could also be for this very reason that they can't resign Golden. Maybe his results have inflated his value and LighT with their finances may not be able to see a returnable income on him if they pay him a lot to match his qualifications to tournaments and then tournament results. (Pure Speculation btw) However, good luck to Golden. I am sure he'll end up signing with a good team

Except that MC lives in the IM house I think, which really means that he has a team to support him in practice and sponsors to support him financially. And Golden has never been that impressive in my eyes, he was one of the better players on LighT, but I still think that KawaiiRice has more potential to make it big. Golden certainly is not as talented as viOLet, though. Oh well, best of luck to all parties.

When LighT picked him up he was just another player on SlayerS, and by playing for them he got more of a chance to stand out. I also would not be surprised if he just wants to go home; perhaps he took on a shorter contract on purpose because he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay in the US or not.

Maybe his results have inflated his value Thats the way it works. Mostly unknown korean join ~small/medium foreign team (violet/golden) to get to foreign tournaments, then they get some results and try to get MOAR MONEY$$! And at the End they will end like PuMa :D

The article is a little anti-climactic after seeing his MLG Summer Arena results, but it's still a good read if you want to catch-up on his exploits with our team. http://www.lightesports.com/news/golden-summer Also, check-out some pictures I threw-together for it, and more Golden and team pictures at our site: http://imgur.com/a/m1f01#0 http://www.lightesports.com/gallery-collections/galleries Nice write-up! Only thing I could nitpick about is the font choice. Made it a bit difficult to read imo.

While Golden for North American standards has good results he is not that marketable nor are his results from that calibre that you just "make room" to fit him in your team.

Don't presume that they are so silly to instantly recruit someone just for them to look like they are 'on the top', when it is far better to take someone who you know will be a fit (team/player expectations meeting)

So that means the funds are coming from China? And I agree with the preposters, Goldenlight was a really incredible nick. But would things preserve the test of time just because they have an awesome name, there would still be a sc2 team called "meet your makers". ![]() Anyways, eager to see to which team he will transfer to. Should be u.s. based since he still plans to stay in that country.
