LOL Hurricane. Seriously, every tournament needs to use GSL style groups. GSL style of groups has that thing, that you need to win matches in certain order to advance. I, for one, like OSL way the most: ignore map scores and h2hs, if there is a tie: do a tiebreaker until infinity. I prefer that too, but It's not realistic to use it for a 2 or 3 day tournament. Yeah, for weekend long tournament GSL style groups or DH tiebreakers for round robin (considering that games are played in the same time) is best way IMO The thing about GSL style groups is that they're basically just mini double elimination tournaments without a final match. There are disappointing ordering effects, but no worse than those you'll inevitably find in the later bracket portion that all tournaments end up in (and there's still luck of the draw for who you end up with in round robin). Given all that I'll take the tiny increase in luck in return for the considerable increase in watchability and tension generated by always knowing exactly what each match means for advancement prospects. This. GSL style groups don't piss you off. Sometimes the other style of groups do. the main thing that comes up is when two players split series, especially if/when a fan favourite loses like that.
Those situations provide easy, sound bite type complaints for upset fans, but they're no more indicative of unfairness than other scenarios where the ordering effects might come into play. They're only really a problem in as much as listening to the complaints is both inevitable and annoying.

FXO's next GSTL match is on Oct 1 vs StarTale. If Hurricane doesn't end up playing in that then his title defense will be vs  Bunny on Oct 2 in Code A
