Sounds like they're gonna exercise their power, but ultimately let him go. Could even be before his contract ends. Yep, that's what I thought. I think MMA might has been going around shopping for team while still under SlayerS, and his contract may state that he cannot do that. So when he got caught, instead of giving him penalty for breaching contract, they only demote him to B-team and let him there until their contract is over.

I just watched the segment on LO3, from approximately 1:40:-1:46. There was a little more to the discussion than that. Near the end, Slasher said that the journalists he talked to felt that there was probably more fault with SlayerS than with MMA. That's how I leaned, especially after Jessica said MMA wasn't doing an interview after his match vs Hero. Then she and Cella prepped him for an interview in which they basically told him to say, "no comment," or at least that's how it appears. If one of those journalists is CSN's Seltzer, there's reason to think bias, but it is what it is. Slasher doesn't mention her, only CSN, through which he received the message from Cella.

Hopefully MYM.MVP gets a major sponsorship from M&M's too, then M&M-MYM.MVP.MMA can go M&M&M.

That's ... not at all what I got out of that. I'm more inclined to agree with the post you quoted. Cella/Jessica coaching him on how to do the interview doesn't mean they're at fault. It means that they know that he's royally unhappy about the fact that he's being punished and they wanted to make sure that he didn't publicly lash out. It's as much for him to save face as them. This has been done in professional sports quite often as well. "Okay you've got face time with the camera now, you're not happy with us and we're not happy with you, so don't go out there and make anyone look bad. Be a professional." and so on. A/Some journalists saying that they felt like there was more fault with Party A than Party B when they don't know much/anything more than we do is just as bad as us speculating about the cause of the incident and ultimately just as uneducated/uninformative. Eventually we'll probably find out what the deal is. No point in blaming / being unhappy with either party until then though as so far we know very little aside from the fact that MMA did something that SlayerS management didn't like, they punished him for it, he disagreed with it. It also looks, based on what Cella said, that the team is interested in talking with other teams about acquiring MMA.

Yeah but it does feel somewhat unfair for the player. As in, the team gets to publicise the decision, the player doesn't get to say much in his defence and this is coated as being professional. For the player. No symmetrical requirement for the team. So basically it means that being professional means the team wins. Same happens in any normal job when your employer is not happy with you but as prevalent as this approach is, it's not fair. It's one thing if they can talk but you can't, but a totally new one when this is being painted as a professional standard.
