Also lets not forget that Cella and MMA are most likely very mature individuals and can handle being nice to each other because they should be, whether or not there's any direct issue between the two or between MMA and the team.

We all want MMA to stay with slayers but we dont know what he did to deserve demotion. Teams cant bend around a player

I hope mma stays with Slayers because he IS the Little Emperor!! Son of Boxer. But I guess it would be quite the drama if mma goes to another team, and in HOTS we have Return of the Terran emperor. The king and the runaway prince meet in a GSL final. Totally looking forward to see Boxer teaching his son a lesson. :>

What worries me is that MMA on the one hands gets a humble pie, a sour pill, on the oter hand a remaining time on his contract with the team who chooses to inflict a measure of humiliation on him despite his contrary wishes.

I think in such cases players should have a way out of their contract. Without knowing the exact contents of a specific, individual contract, I suppose that in general they promise to play for the team in exchange for certain benefits but they don't promise to put up with the team's quasi-jurisdiction or moral authority. Especially when the team chooses to publicise the action.

I kind of doubt we're ever going to find out what MMA did to merit this punishment. I also expect this issue will be swept under the rug until MMA's contract is up. The question is really what does MMA do when his contract ends? Will he leave? Will there have been enough time to make amends and feel like he has loyalty to slayers?

Does anyone know the length of MMA's contract?

Official statement from Cella, read last night on Live on Three (01:42:20), basically said nothing new, confirmed everything we already know, but said officially that he is still under contract and any teams or leagues interested in MMA must contact SlayerS, not MMA, and they said he can only transfer due to a "mutual agreement and until a contract is finalized he is still a member of SlayerS."

Sounds like they're gonna exercise their power, but ultimately let him go. Could even be before his contract ends.

they need to release details, the ambiguity is reflecting badly on both of them, other team won't touch MMA until they have details and slayers are making themselves looking unreasonable atm
